Official results from today's VA primaries

Ellmore's lead now 150 votes, 2 more precincts in (55%-45%)

Both precincts were in Fairfax, Ellmore leading 66% to 34% there....

One other thing to point out. Amit is very young. He has a lot of time to establish himself in the district and make another run in a few more years. I have no doubt that he will one day, even if that day isn't today, win.

Well, most of Arlington just reported in and Amit won there. The bad news is he barely won and the turnout was pathetic.

IT JUST GOT CLOSER!!!!!!!!

Amit down by only 110 votes, 52% to 48%!!!

54% of precincts reporting!!!

Although yeah, that's a bummer that all those precincts were from Arlington and we're still behind.

But I'm holding out hope, this is an incredibly close race right now.

btw, Jim Moran is beating his primary opponent as much as Wolf is beating McKinely

incumbents.... who needs them

Holy smokes, it just got closer. He's only losing by about 64 votes as i type. 49% to 51%

It seemsthat the Arlington numbers changed, but it still says 50 of 51 precincts reporting. What happened?

Another Falls Church precinct just reported....Amit made up 46 votes, so he's now within 64. Almost a dead heat, 51% to 49%.....

If Amit loses, his supporters are probably going to feel awful... I mean it's so close, you could probably get that many votes just by walking around the towns... but who knew =O

This would be a huge victory, for a candidate with no experience to run a 2 month campaign and win.

I'm very interested to see how Lawson does, and Singh if he wins this - both against incumbent Dems in November. We've always said that RP Republicans are the only ones who could beat a Dem in this election cycle, right? ;)

This is just too close. I hope the rest of Fairfax isn't that bad for Amit, he can still pull it off.
