Official results from today's VA primaries

Does anyone know if Amit is stronger in Arlington? They haven't reported yet and it may give him a boost?

How do you think the Arlington and Falls Church vote will come in? It appears as if Alexandria will be close whoever wins, and that Ellmore will probably win Fairfax County.

It seems like most of Amit's fundraisers and events took place in Arlington so I'm hoping he'll be stronger there.

Amit is from Arlington and should pull a strong following there.

Fairfax might kill him though...

Here's hoping Alexandria doesn't decide the election.

Ellmore 753 53.44%
Singh 656 46.55%
Precincts reporting: 26 out of 27

1) They should run again
2) If Amit does lose, the bright side is that we can focus funds on Lawson's race

just looking at the good side of everything =)

Amit's going to have to show EXTREMELY well in Arlington in order to win. If not, here's to hoping Moran crushes the sh*t out of Ellmore in November.

Even if Amit loses this time around, it's still a very close race, which should send the establishment GOP a message that their time is short and the Constitutional GOP movement is here to stay. If Amit runs again in 2010, Ellmore or whomever decides to compete probably won't be as lucky.

i dont know how any of our candidates (or anyone) can beat incumbent democrats in 2008... so ya, it's not TOO bad. and im sure Ellmore will be destroyed very easily.

The bright side of some of the candidates losing primaries is that we can focus on just a few races... like Lawson

He should do extremely well in Arlington...but it is smaller than Fairfax County. Close race though, for just jumping in 2 months ago, while Ellmore has been campaigning for 2 years...

Not too bad!!!

Very true. Plus, the fact that Amit is doing as good as he is against someone who has been running 5x longer than him shows that he'll be able to win next time around when he has more time to run.

My wife and I voted for him in Falls Church, VA, so that's two.:)

Amit seemed very well organized, presented himself well, had a good website....

I agree, he's a good candidate and he should stick with it if he doesn't win this one. Very impressive.

I'm feeling pretty bad for Vern, his family, and his hard work.

I know the campaign has been very trying for him and his family so I will drink a toast to liberty in honor of his effort to unseat one of the most beloved big government Congressman in Virginia.

Thank You Vern.

The only thing that pisses me off about all of this is knowing that Ellmores false mailer may have affected this.

I admire the optimism of this thread. If we win, that's great. If we lose, that's also great, because now we're more knowledgeable, wiser, and more experienced and our chances of winning next time become better because of this. :)

I see...perhaps we're dividing and conquering ourselves?

I suggest supporting Richard Matthew's race in Maryland, but that's just me.

Unfortunately I highly doubt any Maryland Republicans have a chance...
