Official presidential election results thread - Nov. 8, 2016

I'm ecstatic about this. Farage reveals that Trump hates the EU.

Good news!

*shrug* Also non-responsive.
Non-responsive! Not that!

You were saying, if I got the gist of it correctly, that Trump won't do anything good (at least nothing significant that's good).

My response was "Well, who knows? Maybe just maybe he will!"

Seems highly responsive to me! :D A little bit contradictory even.

Look, you don't like Trump, I get it. I do. But we are both highly logical people. So allow me to slow down, back up, and take one step at a time to explain where I'm coming from (which, as typical for me, is a little bit of an odd place).

Question:

Can you, Occam's Banana, affect the outcome of the national Presidential election?

Dear Democrats and Liberals,

I'm noticing that a lot of you aren't graciously accepting the fact that your candidate lost.
In fact you seem to be posting even more hateful things about those of us who voted for Trump.

Some of you are apparently "triggered". Because you are posting how "sick" you feel about the results.

How did this happen you ask?

You created "us" when you attacked our freedom of speech.

You created "us" when you attacked our right to bear arms.

You created "us" when you attacked our Christian beliefs.

You created "us" when you constantly referred to us as racists.

You created "us" when you constantly called us xenophobic.

You created "us" when you told us to get on board or get out of the way.

You created "us" when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating.

You created "us" when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country.

You created "us" when you attacked our flag.

You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism.

You created "us" when you began to emasculate men.

You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.

You created "us" when you decided to vote for progressive ideals.

You created "us" when you attacked our way of life.

You created "us" when you decided to let our government get out of control.

"You" created "us" the silent majority.

And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.

And we did it with ballots, not bullets.

Trump is more vocal and often lacks filter... which has helped him come across as more authentic than Hillary... a great irony of this election.

Almost everyone has some prejudices, some more than others. It is my view that Hillary is many times more bigoted than Trump. Despite all his shortcomings, I have found Trump to be a way more moral, upright, honest, respectable person than SWC Hillary.

Sadly, I think it's coming.

You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.

Mmm, yeah... if your children are soft, not really anyone's fault but your own, as a parent.

But I agree with the general sentiments of the list your posted for sure.

It's just we all need to own up to our own actions more and seize responsibility for our own lives. We have all such responsibility anyway. Might as well own up to it. Blaming others is just a hallucination, and a destructive one.

Non-responsive! Not that!

You were saying, if I got the gist of it correctly, that Trump won't do anything good (at least nothing significant that's good).

No, that's not what I said. Here is what I said:
All I said is that Trump is not going to do any of the wild-eyed, grandiose things that have already been credited to him as if they were fait accompli.

I specified some of those "wild-eyed, grandiose things" - such as putting Hillary in prison - in an earlier post (#1278).

I didn't say he's never going to do "anything good." I suppose he probably will. But Obama did good things, too; he pardoned some non-violent drug offenders, he didn't attack Syria (at least, not directly), etc. In short: so what?

My response was "Well, who knows? Maybe just maybe he will!"

Seems highly responsive to me! :D A little bit contradictory even.

Look, you don't like Trump, I get it. I do. But we are both highly logical people.

It is precisely because I am "highly logical" that I regard assertions of "maybe just maybe" as non-responsive and dispositive of nothing.

"Maybe just maybe" Hillary Clinton wouldn't have been that bad as POTUS and would have done some good things.

Would you take that seriously as an adequate defense of her?

I certainly wouldn't - and I won't do it for Trump, either (or even Ron Paul, for that matter).

It has nothing to do with whether I "like" Trump or not.

So allow me to slow down, back up, and take one step at a time to explain where I'm coming from (which, as typical for me, is a little bit of an odd place).

Question:

Can you, Occam's Banana, affect the outcome of the national Presidential election?

All right, I'll play along (at least for a little while).

Answer:

No.

I should have explained it was posted on FB... I liked it so I cut/pasted from a thread where I read it.
srry.
and..
agree... if I was to 'guess' it is referencing the damage from policies, i.e. no child left behind/everyone is a winner if you participate etc, etc.

The love affair begins again.

He's not doing shit, he's staying on his same message from the election and sticking to taxes, regulation and obamacare like almost every other republican.

Foval did it again! His twitter account was suspended.

When you realize that your work is nearing it's completion. Do you hear them Soros?
