Official Maine Caucus Results thread

Agreed. Elections are, in a way, nothing but a legalized and regularized substitute for warfare.

There's a whole lot of stuff that's fair in war.

We talk about Gandhi, "and then we get tired of colonialism" or whatever political theory that's all about.

I don't want to talk about Liberty. Someone showed a Gangs of New York clip called Election Day. We have the passionate numbers that no other candidate does. But a lot of the bold stuff we do is fairly pointless and stupid. Yes. Go fuck up every single Romney Rally. But don't wear Ron Paul clothes when you're doing it.

How about at some random town hall you get there early and you dress nice. And everybody knows the plan. And then I don't know - there's 200 people there and 150 are Ron Paul supporters. Like we're talking about delegates once you get a certain number, you won. We'll we win that. We win the Romney rally. What's that song "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye". Just everyone start singing that and not stop until Romney has left. That's just one of many many things a well-trained grassroots attack squad can do. There's always the option of just making the other candidates lives a living hell. The msm are total dicks to us. Scorched Earth.

I want to win. We are being dicked over. Oh, yeah, that was some great party Charlie. Worth not publishing any results for. Yeah, right. Yeah, you wouldn't have gotten any press if you had announced the results honestly after every caucus, and people could know exactly what's going on, and it could be like a real horse race, based on real results, or a real pennant chase or whatever analogy. People could actually know what was going on. Their behavior is entirely consistent with someone who is setting up a system to rig the result. So, Washington and much of Hancock have no say in the Presidential preference poll. It is worth it for the shortened Susan Collins BS and Charlie apologizing for how irrelevant the Maine Caucuses are.

I don't want to go to any fucking convention. That's how they win. People who suck, continue to suck, and decent normal people can't stomach being near them. Hey Ron Paul supporters, here's a great opportunity to hang out with people you hate. Weasels. Your job is to take the power away from the weasels who will do anything to hold on to their power.

Do we even win some kind of prize for most ridiculous rip off. Wow, you really were screwed repeatedly and blatantly. Here's a prize. I'm not feeling any better.

Were the numbers people spreading around today wrong? Where was the failing? Can someone explain where the bad results were? Ok, Brunswick wasn't so great. Scarborough wasn't so great. But it's not like Romney won anywhere in CD2. Can someone from the campaign give the kind of political analysis that was commonplace back in the day. Romney did well somewhere. We didn't do as well as expected somewhere else. What happened?

Bingo. I love this idea. Attack squads. We did this to Giuliani, and we still do it to an extent, but your post opens my eyes to how much better we could be doing it! The epicness would be over the top. The epic meters would all explode.

March on the convention! We can all carry our state flags flying under the Ron Paul banner symbolizing we are all united in one cause!

Seriously. I have no idea what the hell we are going to do. But I'm not going to quit or be grumps because of Maine. We just have to keep trying harder and harder at the grassroots level, the campaign is struggling and needs us more than ever.

I'm grumps. I'm not quitting, but I think doing damage to the opponents is where my head is at right now. Ron Paul isn't going to call Mitt Romney a piece of shit.

I was part of a movement during the 1960's and early 1970's that DIDN'T get a candidate elected into office.

But, we ended a war.

My daughter and granddaughters are better off because of my making my voice heard about equal rights for equal pay. When I was in my twenties there were states where IF a woman married, SHE COULDN'T OWN PROPERTY. It became her husband's the minute she said "I do".

In my lifetime 3 young men were buried in a dam in Philadelphia, MS. I've seen pictures of the bodies that were dug up at a newspaper where I used to work. Those YOUNG MEN DIED so black people could vote.

People, the setback you've suffered today is discouraging and disappointing.

But, I can tell you that what all of YOU are facing and the fight you are fighting for yourselves, your children and your future grandchildren is EVERY BIT AS URGENT as what my generation fought for back in the 1960's and early 1970's.

Today I read that America was at the epitome of success back when I WAS protesting about conditions. Evidently when I thought things weren't GOOD enough, it was the glory days.

YOU are facing the endgame.

Are you just going to let it happen? And not stand behind the man who is spending his "golden years" working like a dog STILL fighting to make a difference?

AS I SAID...THREE YOUNG MEN IN MISSIPPI DIED...they ended up buried in mud under a dam on a farm because they wanted a better world for future generations.

They didn't win that round. But, today, life in Mississippi is a lot better for people of every color because of them. Nobody is asking anyone to die or do anything illegal or destructive. Just to make phone calls and talk to people about a message that you should be PROUD to promote.

People CAN make a difference if they DON'T GIVE UP, but it doesn't always go smoothly.

Like Dr. Paul, I am STILL going and calling and am a delegate. I "could be" enjoying my retirement time. I will be fine no matter WHAT happens. I am working for you young people. And my children and grandchildren. And YOUR children and grandchildren.

I refuse to surrender my principals. Ron Paul or die!!

They are going to send a SWAT team after your ass if you don't let those principals go! And, you better not have The superintendent either... He's been missing since tuesday.
Fucking asshole.
Kidnapping is not the answer.

Yeah. Winning elections. Sometimes you have to be nasty to win elections. We've been too nice. And I'm not saying that Mormonism is the most effective thing to kill Romney, but let's leave nothing off the table. Goldman Sachs is the top contributor to both Romney and Obama. Let's make Goldman Sachs the enemy, and get the populists, the Pat Buchanan types fired up. Do we like Bill Kristol and the Foreign Policy his dad brought to the Republican Party? No.

The bad guys aren't Romney, or Gingrich, or Santorum or Obama. They're Goldman Sachs and Bill Kristol. Rip them to shreds. Because, if we rip Goldman Sachs and Bill Kristol to shreds, them being ripped to shreds is a positive benefit for the world. Ripping Romney, etc to shreds only means that some other tool who isn't damaged as much'll be an adequate replaceable stand in.

You know there are two massive fatal flaws with Romney that makes him lose in a general election. It is going to come up in the general election anyways if Romney is nominated. First, Romney is a massive corporate puppet that can't connect with voters the way Obama has done. Romney's base is made up of old people who watch MSM and Mormons. Second, no one trusts Romney, Obama will bring up the issue with Iran and how the republicans are planing to stay in the middle east in the next 100 years. what the GOP is counting on is there are enough dissatisfied republicans and independents who voted for Obama in 08.

you might just be a kid on a keyboard but when it gets down to it I'm a kid with a shotgun and I'm not going to live in this fuckin dystopia they have planned so we all need to get our shit together and stop crying. How do you think washington felt fighting the british army? he was so incredibly discouraged but he did not give up and in the end it was he who persevered

"You must spread some reputation around before giving it to 3kgt again."

My wife and I each have a shotgun, and we're with you.

Yawn...

This delegate thing is getting old.
I'm just wondering...
When are we going to see posts about the Electoral College and how some super secret Ron Paul scheme will get them to vote him in?
I always like that stage of the mass delusion. Makes me giggle.

It ranks up there with the "boycott the MSM" stage. Ha. That one always gets me going. Nothing like a bunch of deluded souls thinking they can bend CNNFOXABCNBCCBS to their will by closing their eyes and putting fingers in their ears!

Yawn.. Another bundler of snarky miasma thinking their dirty diaper is wisdom enough to impart their effluvience.

uh... Yeah...
I think that pretty much fits the definition of terrorism. Even the definition in use before the Patriot Act.
You might want to edit that post.
And chill out

Ron Paul will lose. Obviously.
So what?
Politics, liberty, the Constituion and all that are pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things.
As long as you can get laid now and again, life's pretty decent regardless of who is in office.

I look forward to the banned title under your avatar. Your crap is pretty trivial and has absolutely no use on this forum.

Low level dirtbag humor is not the answer either drooldonkey. Looks like you need a waltz around the dance floor to learn a few manners. Wanna go?

'As long as you can get laid now and again, life's pretty decent regardless of who is in office.'

So... stupid... cant... breath....

Life must be really sweet for the millions of people who had family members blown to pieces in Iraq. So long as they get laid, right?

Let losers whine & bitch & give up, we'll fight on knowing that our every little effort, it DOES make a difference in the long-run :)

The problem is not rob paul. The problem is the American people. Stop saying paul should sound like this or that, he shouldn't have to.

We need to become terrorist, oh wait, we already are according to the department of homeland security.

WHOA! I just realized how much of a hypocrite I am in posting this! Constantly preaching peace and love for enemies and then saying "we need to become terrorist.."

Yikes! Just goes to show you how anger can latch on to anybody and cause one to speak like the devil himself, spewing lies and hatred. Don't be like I was last night, keep your head up and continue with the message of peace and goodwill towards others! Because if you fail mentally like I did in that post, then you become no better than everything we are fighting against!

Stay strong until the end, goodness always wins eventually. Hopefully we can expedite the process by putting a man of peace and love in the top office now rather than later.

113 actually.

And if we want to win, we can just go to the Maine Maritime Academy and really bug them with Free Beer every day for 3 weeks. There are 800 students there.
And the caucus is on March 3.

MARITIME ACADEMY and UNDERAGE DRINKING don't even belong in the same SENTENCE, much less in the same Campaign Strategy.

Lemme ask a question, not of the Board but of you personally, do you think penalty or expulsion for the CRIME of Underage Drinking would be "worth it" if Ron Paul wins?
