**Official** LibertyPAC Presidents Day Money Bomb Thread

i had unsubscribed from everything except my membership at the "precinct captain" site email, but thankfully managed to get the email reminder this morning from Liberty Pac reminding me of the moneybomb or i probably would NOT have known about it. This to me spells success in the endevor from both them in their part and me in my part. Kudos to the folks down working hard at Liberty-PAC

thanks for posting this, good point, good post.

Dropped $20.12. I'm very frugal, but let it not be said that I didn't do anything! If you're on the fence think of all the spending you do in your life can you not cut back on something for a week or two and drop at least $20.12. I think of money not only as a financial tool but as a vote, everything you buy is a vote for that company or product to continue doing business, will you vote for Ron to run?

Hey again everyone! I know I'm in and out from time to time... but...

I dropped a frugal $20.12 in as well! Didn't know I was supposed to copy my transaction number as proof... lol kinda closed out of it.

Anyways... I posted on my facebook also. Hopefully that will help. I'll also be spreading the word on a few other forums today even though they probably won't do much good...

Keep spreading the word!

We support you, Ron Paul! Even in hard economic times, we're still able to contribute something. We believe in you and we believe in the constitution.

I tried to donate with both Firefox and IE but can't complete the transaction. Don't know if it's the traffic or some other issue...

I know, but I don't see why I can't make the comparison. His supporters know that this is probably the main way Ron is going to gauge how much support he has in deciding whether to run. When I first looked at the widget around Midnight Central, I thought we had raised $300K in the first hour. Then I find out it started out with that from donations prior to today. On the upside, the bombs were always slowest overnight, and always picked way up when people started waking up. It's still possible that, even with only a modest acceleration, we could get to $1 million. And I agree that bombs once he's formally a candidate should do better.

Can't really compare the two monetarily, for multiple reasons. First this is an off the cuff effort, as opposed to the heavily planned/ promoted events in the '08 campaign. Secondly, even the minimal promotion that has been done has emphasized numbers of donors over amount of donations. We haven't been reminding people for weeks to save up all they can afford, instead just asking people to donate $20.12 (or even $5) and help spread the word. The avg donation in the first bombs was around $100, I imagine that number will be much lower in this event, by design...

if things dont pick up im starting to get pretty worried, we really need to hit Iowa hard to be taken seriously, I figured we would at least raise a million today. This is the most crucial point in the campaign that would land us lots of exposure. If we can't pull this off everyone will continue to remain skeptical and consider him unelectable.

Well, we will need to hit Iowa pretty hard regardless. Further, I doubt the media reports will get very far if they attempt to lampoon a grassroots created 6 digit fundraiser for an undeclared candidate...

Every little bit of promotion helps. Thanks

I had a couple people pop up in chat last night with tech difficulties... not many, but a few... From my view there are not widespread problems, (this is a good shakedown though.) I'll be curious to hear if your problems persist... Thanks for the extra effort

Onward!

I love the "automatic screenshot" you get with your confirmation!

With posts like this, I suppose that is a possibility.

But while I am certain media that don't like his running will claim that (which is why I really wasn't for calling it a moneybomb when he hadn't announced yet) we all know this is different. We don't even know how much he needs or what he's allowed to use it for beyond travel/chartering a plane over the next couple of months, and a bit of supporter outreach.

Having said that, I agree a larger amount would be more impressive than a smaller amount.

Thinking of donating 20.12 for every member of my family throughout the rest of the day if we have a strong showing today. (or if I can think of any other excuse...) :)

Didn't know we were supposed to post our transaction details, and I'm far too lazy to go dig them up in my email so this will have to do for now. :D

$20.12

Plan on having my dad donate $201.20 later today.

Great!

The transaction posts are something that grew out of our "open source campaigning" mentality and is just a way some people spur others on.

Go grassroots!
