This year, we are going to do the Addams Family. The whole family is getting in on it. I'm going to be Morticia. I love Halloween!

I'm not really sure what I'll do for Halloween this year. Our neighborhood doesn't really get many Trick or Treaters anymore.

Maybe I'll just put on a collared shirt and a pair of glasses and say I'm Edward Snowden. Then if any kids do show up, I'll give them candy and pretend it's a bribe for not divulging my location to the Feds.

Now that is a shame. We are the big draw in an area of mostly rural homes. The outskirts people hitch up trailers (think a big flat hayride on steroids) to haul their children here. The mid-age kids are sent out as scouts, and they scope out who's giving away the good stuff. We are a corner house and yeah, we give away your average name-brand candy. (Sue me. Everything in moderation.) There are two buckets of candy already purchased, since the grocery store here puts a different type on sale every week until Halloween. The people living in the neighborhood itself go in groups and take golf carts around to cover more ground. We will be utterly mobbed. I don't dress up to give out candy; I just like spending a nice fall evening on the porch watching the chaos. I think my favorite part is that there's no CPS to be found, and the cops in the neighborhood are the first ones to be doing "unsafe" stuff like loading four kids onto a golf cart.

I think I'm getting old. I don't care anymore lol. I think the last time I dressed up was at work about 12 years ago as a heavy metal rocker.

I just clean/rinse them , salt & bake on a cookie sheet .Pumpkin blossoms, I just batter and cook like mushrooms.

We went trick or treating this weekend in our gated community, my daughter loved it. She enjoyed giving out candy more than getting it, though. When the doorbell would ring she'd rush to the door to hand it out.

She dressed up as Princess Sophia, because she thinks the TV show is about her lol
