**OFFICIAL** Hockey Thread

Peter Laviolette is simply out coaching Dan Bylsma. Bylsma looks confused and shocked everytime Flyers make a comeback.

I couldn't be happier the Flyers are destroying Crosby and team Bettman thus far. Should be fun when Hank goes 10-0 against the Flyers in the ECF ;)

You should just as confident as some Pens fans did on this thread. :)

I'm a life-long Pens fan, but I'm just disgusted by their performance today.

Ok, so you're losing. So you're not getting goal-tending...

But the way they went in this game was just embarrassing. Asham, Crosby, Neal, Letang... Cheapshots, unprofessional behavior... They made me ashamed to be a fan today.

Cindy Criesby is a little pussy, I can't stand his ugly face.

And Asham was an idiot for his hit on Schenn.

Great game though!

MAF has been extremly bad this series. But its not just him, pens cant seem to defend a lead.

I actually like the fact that Cindy faught. Ill give him props for that because most guys in his position rarely fight. And he did win the fight and so did Letang.

After watching the Flyers/Pens series thus far, I must say that the Penguins are just being outplayed (effort) and out-coached. Also, I couldn't help but notice the dirty/cheap play the Penguins players seem to like. They are constantly pulling acting jobs to get penalties, jamming someone in the back with a stick, smacking gloves away when a player goes to reach for them, and so on...

The Flyers are playing with some dignity, no dirty hits, sticks in the back of Pens players. I'd be pretty ashamed to be a Pens fan, and the Flyers are playing hockey the way it should be played (rough but with a certain level of respect and sportsmanship).

THe only thing i didnt like about what the pens did today was 1. Asham hit. 2. Neal hit.

Other then that i have absolutly no problem with the fighting, pushing , punching etc. All that is what makes the playoffs and Hockey so awesome.

I am truly disgusted, but not surprised at the penguins antics tonight.

No. You don't hit to injure. That's never acceptable.

Compilation of why the Penguins are complete assholes post:

Who punches with their stick? Criesby does!

It's totally cool to punch a man who's down in the back of the head, after crosschecking them in the neck.

Nice sportsmanship of a captain.

Hey, just so you know, it's not just me that's ashamed of the Penguins' antics yesterday. It's the whole town of Pittsburgh. The morning radio hosts were talking about it today. Not one nice word to say about that.

None of the usual "Philly had it coming" crap you might normally hear. We're all hoping there is no game 5 because it'll be pretty hard to cheer for that team if they come back to Pittsburgh. We just want this season over.

With all that said, the Penguins have normally been a pretty reputable team. Come next season, I may be able to forgive them and put if off to acting like children who didn't get the present they wanted, but they need to grow up. Let's hope after this series they can get back to being the Pens we all know and love. Until then, GO FLYERS! They deserve it.

Well im pretty sure Neal and Asham will be out for the next game.

Pittsburgh forward James Neal will have hearings on Tuesday with the Department of Player Safety for two separate incidents in Sunday's Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Also, Pittsburgh forward Arron Asham has been offered an in-person hearing Tuesday morning for his match penalty for cross-checking Brayden Schenn at 14:15 of the first period. Asham received a match penalty on the hit.

Neal's hearings focus on the hit against Sean Couturier in the third period, as well as the charging penalty he received for a hit on Claude Giroux later in the period. Neal was not penalized on the Couturier hit.

CaptUSA, any word on the disciplinary meetings today?

No news yet
http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=393330

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be busy with Brendan*Shanahan on Tuesday as forwards James*Neal and Arron*Asham have hearings booked with the NHL disciplinarian for incidents stemming from their game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.

Neal will have two separate hearings - one for his third period hit on Flyers rookie Sean*Couturier and the other for a hit to the head on Flyers forward Claude*Giroux. Neal was given a charging penalty for the latter hit, which saw four players - including Neal - receive 10-minute misconduct penalties.

Neal, who shares the team lead in playoff scoring with two goals and five points - is a repeat offender. He was suspended two games last season for a hit from behind on Derek*Dorsett and was fined $2,500 this season for a high-stick to Montreal's P.K.*Subban.

Asham, who has been offered an in-person hearing, was assessed a first-period match penalty for cross-checking Brayden*Schenn around the chin and punching him in the head when Schenn was down.

Who knows how shanahan will rule, that guy has no idea what he's doing. He's so inconsistent.
