Ice T had a metal side project called "Body Count".

Cop Killah raised hell back in the early 90s.

While some of those songs were not, technically "metal" they were "heavy" (go ahead, argue with me about that FF song not being heavy :p ) and were chosen more for the anti authority message in them.

The FF's have always been a "fusion" band, never metal. (in interviews, they've decried and denounced metal) Any relation they have to metal is very shaky. (speaking with the authority of one who grew up during the years the FF's were founded after Cobain's suicide-and lived through the some of the great rises/falls of classic bands such as Metallica, Pantera, and Megadeth...IMO, my generation is currently the last one to grow up with old school metal. :D;) Maybe it'll be hip again someday.)
