Official H.R. 1207 Cosponsor Thread

I just got confirmation from Peter Welch's (VT) office that he did co-sponsor 1207.

eta I can't help but think it may have had something to do with him being active on this site and seeing my criticism yesterday. Woohoo!

Someone with computer skills far superior to mine: how about a map/website showing the congressional districts that are being represented and those that are not? the supported ones in blue, the non-supported districts in green.

green and blue simply because those are the colors of the Seattle Sounders. purple and gold are the other colors i'd use (UW Husky colors)

in Louisiana, all districts except for 2 and 3 are on board. 5 out of 7 districts reporting victory.
Ron Paul won the caucus in this state, so it was easy to get these guys on board. In fact, most of them had their picture taken with Ron for promotional purposes.

I like Purple and Gold.

Geaux LSU!

We're up to 157, including Ron Paul. Also, congress.org has consolodated their list with thomas.loc.gov and they provide the number of Republicans and Democrats.

23 Democrats
134 Republicans

I'm confused. Is it 157 or 179?

We can do some canvassing before the game, and then some fraternizing at the game.
Then later that night... The Red Stick will be ours.

i know a good amount about college football and lobbied our athletic dep't as well as LSUs (i exchanged emails with Skip Bertman) for a home and home because my dad went to the game in '84 and raved about the experience. but what is the "Red Stick"?

it helps, of course, that our President served the same role at LSU and our new AD worked in the athletic dep't at LSU. Hopefully we'll be back to the UW of old by then and LSU will remain where they're at and we'll see a great game.

Baton Rouge = Red Stick.

Way to go Mike Rogers MI-8. I just noticed. Good man. I personally talked with him about it as well as email/call/fax. It's about time.

For those of us that finally convinced our rep's to cosponsor, it's on to the Senate - S. 604 currently has zero cosponsors

I just called Melissa Bean's office. The person on the other line told me I would be getting a letter in a few weeks. Weeks!? Is that what you guys are experiencing with your representatives too? Unacceptable.
