Official Campaign Response

Way to go campaign, way to slay this one early. The question remains, how much damage has been done?

Drudge has posted Reason's quick interview but I would rather see the official press release as it puts this ridiculous issue to rest once and for all.

I wish they would be a little more convincing. This is not going away, I fear. :(

I too believe they need to go further...this is not nearly enough. They need to call into question the credibility of TNR author. We have the proof why don't they use it?

So was this newsletter totally outside of his knowledge? Or was it HIS newsletter that he just wasn't keeping an eye on?

We should get someone else to trash the TNR authors credibility...

Maybe get Walter Williams on Tucker or some such...

The official campaign response seems to strike the right balance between forcefully disavowing the views, accepting responsibility for letting the newsletter go out under his name, and dismissing this as a cheap, recycled attack.

Of course I'm biased.

It sounds to me like he lent his name to the newsletter and that is the extent of his involvement with it.

Sure would have been nice to squeeze a statement in during an interview with Neil Boortz. Missed a prime opportunity to set the record straight AGAIN on a major scale.
