**Official Blimp Updates**

None of the experts have said this is impossible!

The experts have not said a single thing about this yet!

So do you know an expert who has said this is impossible?

Do you? DO YOU!

If so speak up NOW!

Helium runs ~$.10 per cubic foot. The blimp takes 170,000 cubic feet to fill. So who's going to pony up the $17,000 in 'gas money', not to mention the risks to the equipment and the fact that the tear down and refill probably take a full day to complete as it is.

Plus the crew cost to disassemble, assemble, semi, fuel, and the financial list goes on. Menthol Patch-------------Drop it, OK

Don't be the guy who has to come back appologizing, the people handling this CARE ABOUT EVERY THING YOU DO, AND THE WILL DO EVERYTHING IN THIER POWER TO DELIVER.

I would never apologize for a single thing I have said. I have not said anything wrong.

I am only saying that the blimp needs to get there to Boston one way or another and if the blimp does not make it to Boston everyone needs to ask for their money back.

Like I said before... if it doesn't make it, call your credit card company and backcharge it. Then donate the money to Ron Paul. How hard is that?

It's too bad the blimp doesn't run off of hot air...

Every project must have a cost benefit analysis. Personally, I think if the blimp cannot make it to Boston then the eventual million dollars the blimp project may cost us could be better spent elsewhere. You see, the blimp will NEVER have a better chance to be recognized by the media than at the Tea Party in Boston!

DISAGREE- The first blimp ever in political history conjured up totally by grassroots activists is news on any day.

The blunt truth is that.....

1) The blimp project will NEVER have a chance to get one tenth of the media attention it can get for being at the Tea Party where we raise ten million dollars in one day!

2) Part of the reason for the blimp project is to help support the Tea Party. The Tea Party and the blimp are SYNERGISTIC. If the blimp is not there the Tea Party will miss out on even ADDITIONAL publicity!

3) Every project most be worth the cost. Right now the project is worth the cost because it will get a HUGE free boost of publicity by being at the Tea Party! If it does not make it to the Tea Party it will miss out on that publicity and it will NEVER get another chance to get that much publicity!

If the blimp cannot make it to Boston for the Tea Party I think the money could be better spent on other projects.

Please realize that for the blimp to stay in the air the 230,000 dollars raised so far is NOT the final cost! To keep it in the air it will cost HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of additional dollars!

If it can make it to the Tea Party then the blimp project will be WORTH IT because it will bring in probably AT LEAST THAT MUCH to the Tea Party and it will have a GREAT START with TONS OF PUBLICITY!!!

If it cannot make it to the Tea Party then it is not worth the money!

This talk about 'getting money back' just because the Blimp can't get to Boston for the Tea Party due to WEATHER is ridiculous! We rented this blimp for ONE FULL MONTH! The Tea Party is ONE DAY (albeit a very important day) and I am sure 'we' will get our money's worth before the this month is out. Look, LIFE is a risk, renting this blimp is/was a risk, WE took the chance, without refund ability, now lets stick to supporting it, getting Ron's message out there and do this thing! We ALL knew that Trevor was not some 'professional' or that he represented some deep pocketed company - this is it, all we get, a one time thing, either it works or not - he doesn't have money to refund as it is going to the blimp company. If you really think you 'deserve' a refund then perhaps you should not have donated in the first place. It's in God's (the weather) hands now... have some faith!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA

Get you money back then, all you do is whine while others like Trevor produce results.

+1:)

Do you know if the blimp will be cruising around ARIZONA during SUPERBOWL week? HUGE AUDIENCE in and around Phoenix and Tempe all that week.

I've said my peace about this. If the blimp does not arrive in Boston then everyone should ask for their money back.

I won't, I have a bigger picture of what is going on. Trevor has proven his dedication and if all of us had half as much we would have our Republic back today.

The name of this thread is "**Official Blimp Updates**", but all I see is everyone not associated with the blimp talk. Can you guys cut the chatter, so when an official update is posted, is it noticed? Pretty please? We're at 12 pages already...

Your trollfu is weak sauce son. Perhaps you step back and look at this negative energy you dropped all over these boards tonight, and reexamine how you are helping.

Your absolutly correct OferNave, there is a nice piece on the www.ronpaulblimb.com site regarding thier status.

I can't help but wonder, and I am not trying to be negative, I am just very curious...who will own all of the expensive equipment they are buying after this is done?

streaming video cameras and 3G EVDO to WiFi wireless internet to stream the video. This journey should be available to everyone who wants to see it so we are going to attempt to bridge some wireless internet cards and provide a quality signal to upload streaming video to the website.

* Wireless internet device and installation

*
o Otherwise up to $5,000 for a connection made up of bridged wireless cards.

* High Quality WiFi Cameras
o $1,000 each

# GPS tracking system to track the current location of the blimp.

Videographer equipment

etc etc

who will own these items after this is over with??

No, it's not going to kill anyone!

I'm saying we deflate the blimp, take it to Boston, tie it down on the ground with tethers so it won't go anywhere, and inflate it! If the weather improves they can untether it.
Dude, you need to get our of your basement away from your furnace and do some canvassing. You may also want to get a co2 detector because I detect a lack of oxygen.
