No surprise. Most politicians are drunks. Ron Paul has commented on it in the past. If you attended any of the state conventions then you'd see that politicians LOOOOOVE them some booze. The "hospitality suites" that open up after the day's business is over is full of politicians getting hammered.

I was not really WATCHING it, mostly listening, so I didn't see the blood. Ann Romney looked disturbed for a while, though.

But yes, Rubio definitely said something weird about CHOOSING MORE GOVERNMENT or something...
 
What was that joke Eastwood made? And why was CNN so uncomfortable with it? I didn't get it. (I have seen the scene but am no native speaker and didn't understand it fully)

Not sure exactly what you're referring to but probably the part where Clint alluded that Obama told Mitt and Clint to go fuck themselves.

May I suggest you watch again and, if you still don't hear it, make a note of the time mark and ask again?
 
Gitmo is short for Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where the U.S. has a military base. For the last six years or more this base has been where most of the accused terrorists are held 'indefintely' and interrogated. Obama promised to close this base, but there are dozens and dozens of campaign promises he has yet to keep, and this is one of them.
 
I'm working on it. The Washington Post claims to have a transcript up, but it seems only to cover the last half. The Biden reference is partly a little joke about him talking to the president and what the president might say to his opponent. Biden, Obama's vice president, has a habit of speaking his mind and sticking his foot in his mouth in the process. Thus the accusation that he's crazy.

Not having much luck finding the New York terrorist comment you referred to--yet...

This is a pretty big nation, Marcusi, and when we have a criminal trial that has the whole community up in arms we therefore have the luxury of executing a 'change in venue', which means moving the trial into another court far away from that community. This way, we stand a chance of seating a jury that hasn't already made up their minds about whether the defendant is guilty before the trial even starts. Obviously, trying terrorists in the 9/11/01 target zone (New York City) wouldn't be the way to get a calm, rational jury panel...

Thx. I think now, that the reference to NYC was maybe that Obama wanted to trial the terrorists sitting in Guantanamo in NYC. But I ain't too sure.

Mitt Romney has successfully secured his loss against obama. Obama will pay his end by pardoning romney from his tax evasion.
