Official 2/12/2013 State of Union Thread

Ron Paul questions the integrity of the vote count on Stossel.

Something like:

"what did you learn from running for President"

Ron "that you better have people counting the votes right" or something like that.

Noteworthy.

Boring speech from Rand. Much better than Rubio's, but still...

Nothing inspiring. Nothing we haven't heard before. Nothing that makes me me stand up and say, "damn right!"

It was what I expected, a milquetoast, middle of the road, quasi libertarian speech from a Goldwater conservative.

Yay!

Rand is kicking ass and taking no prisoners with this speech. Rand is a far better speaker than Rubio. I don't think there's any comparison.

He needs to work on his projection.

And, TV listeners didn't hear him. At least, I haven't seen him on CNN, CBS, NBC, FOX, etc...

And there's Hannity and Luntz over on Fox News talking about how great Rubio was (Hannity actually said best Response he had ever seen) and Luntz's fake focus group.

Rand talks to the people like peers, as opposed to reassuring them with comfortable lies, normally reserved for children. Fantastic speech, in that it was a such a departure from the mainstream crap that passes as speeches these days.

Hopefully many no longer watch tv, and opt for the Internet instead.

I don't see Rand on the first page of google for "State of the Union response", just Rubio.

Most of the people, that I know, get their news from the front page of their ISP.

I take it as an honor from the CIA run MSM that Rand has been blacked out. Thank you for reaffirming my trust in Rand!!!!

What did he say?
Pissed that Rand didn't say a word about gun control.
Pissed that the MSM didn't broadcast it - er, did CNN?
i kept switching channels Cspan 1,2,3, cnn fox fox business even msnbc.
Rands speech was not televised.

I left fox business on for stossel and he interviewed Ron before Rand was finished. Tried to listen to both, but.....
Stossel asked Ron about running for prez, lack of coverage. Ron talked about how counting the votes is important. Stossel mentioned Obama talked about gun control, but not drones. Ron said , yeah that's the gun we ought to get rid of. Ron doesn't think things are going to go well- people still like our money, but when that ends---look out. Stossel should air again a few times over the weekend and they will be posting the episode.

I thought Rand did all right, better than Rubio, but I've seen him do better.

Rand was solid. Made Rubio look like an amateur.
NICE "STAGE" Rubio

Frank Lutz on FOX now...

Yes, he did, he mentioned at the end protecting our 2nd amendment rights, along with all of the bill of rights, including due process and no unlawful search and seizure (both just as relevant, as they're being attacked in more subtle ways)
