Off-Topic: US launched bomb agianst Somalia

CNN, just reported that a US Naval ship launched a missile strike against an area in Somalia. Apparently targeting someone in Al-Qaeda. Let me know if you hear anything about this!

Some are saying the Al Qaeda excuse is bogus, or at least does not warrant the kind of force the US has used.

On a side note, while looking for this in the news just now, I noticed that FOX is making a big deal about Chavez' shutting down of RCTV which FOX is calling the only independent station in Venezuela, though it was also the tool used by "elites" in the country to encourage the public to support the coup that was attempted a year or two ago. I don't know if it has anything to do with Somalia, but both events seem to have started around the same time and both are happening in a place of US government interest, or directly involve US forces.

Compare and contrast that article to the previous one... see some huge differences, namely the death of ~70 heardsmen but zero of the intended targets found?

The missile might have hit today, but it sounds like we've been supporting a group of Ethiopians that are fighting the Somalian government for at least a few months with money, special forces, some air support, and apparently we're helping with missiles too.

Let me guess Congress is out of the country vacationing in Tahiti. Sipping cocktails and getting massages. Seriously though, Congress needs to be impeached. No one has the authority to do an airstrike on anyone without Congressional approval. Impeach GWB for overstepping his bounds and then impeach Congress for letting him.
