O’Donnell pisses off the wrong contingent...

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/a...aware_race_could_put_hex_on_gop_hopes/?page=2

Hundreds of O’Donnell and Coons supporters demonstrated side-by-side for hours before the event on a sunny afternoon. People from both camps wore pointy witch hats and carried brooms. Tea Party fans chanted against socialism next to gay rights advocates waving rainbow flags.

(this would have been worth a picture...)

Members of the Wicca faith who call themselves witches took issue with O’Donnell’s TV ad.

“She says, ‘I’m not a witch, I’m you,’ ’’ complained Amy Blackthorn, a 28-year-old Wiccan from Newark, who protested at the event. “That’s the problem. I am a witch.’’

OH, OH! - I can only imagine the spells being cast around the ol Calderon as we speak! O'Donnell would be well advised to double up on spreading salt around her doors and windows and watching out for anything "strange" in her environment - like brain eating, zombie falcons, downpours of toads, fire breathing dragons, stray lightning bolts - stuff like that... :D

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I don't know, maybe I am. I personally think the use of demonic powers, whether the end is supposedly "good" of not is worthy of isolation and "bigotry." Of course, in modern society, I should be open to the use of demons for certain ends.

LOL @ people who think that "demonic powers" are real. :rolleyes:

Some of my very good friends are Wiccan. They are nice people. Never understood the hatred for people like that.

Dude, grow up.

There are no demons, that's just bull shit that certain religions shovel.

Relax, there's nothing hiding in your closet or under your bet that's going to "get you."

BTW, Wiccans (witches) do NOT worship "demons." The concept of Wiccans "worshipping demons" is a Christian one (also applies to other religions, but NOT Wicca).

Christian religious leaders say Wiccans "worship demons" just to whip up fear, hatred, and hysteria since that's what ALL religions seem to do best. BTW, the idea that Wiccans "worship Satan" is also Christian bull shit- they don't even believe in "Satan."

And yes, Wicca is just as absurd and childish as Christianity or any other religion, but no more so...

First of all, your use of quotation marks in most instances (except "demons") makes it sound like I said those things since there would be no other reason to use them. Since I clearly didn't say those things, you are misrepresenting me.

I'm not going to debate the issue of whether demon's exist or not, but you totally misrepresent Christians. I didn't say that I thought that Wiccans worship demons, I said they used demonic powers. When they practice magic, that's what they are doing, whether they believe they are or not. I know what Wiccans believe, I researched the belief after I found out an acquaintance was one and was debating about whether I was going to talk to her about it. I never really saw her again (we weren't that close), so the idea was moot anyway.

Nor do I believe demons are going to "get me." I simply believe they have certain powers which God has allowed them. Those powers rarely extend to believers.
