From 2000 to 2024 GDP in US averaged 1.9 percent , During same time median new home prices rose avg of 6.67 percent per yr and money supply increased 8 percent per year, debt is up 525 percent . Many people may not consider overall situation to be prosperous. Personally Im ok . I will predict w/ a current US Senate similar to past 25 years enough Govt and enough spending will never , ever be cut in order to get numbers to be considered prosperous by many taxpayers and working Americans .

The sacrifice of self government for efficiency is an interesting argument I had only heard about recently.
