Occupy New England Regional Convergence in Portsmouth, NH on 4-27-13

Note, this event will happen in New Hampshire, not in Maine. However, Durham is near the NH/ME border. Plus, this is an event for all of New England, not just for NH people. Feel free to invite folks from MA, CT, RI and even VT.

The 4th Occupy New England Regional Convergence in Durham, New Hampshire on 4-27-2013 and 4-28-2013.

The Occupy New England Regional Convergence will be coming to New Hampshire. We are looking at the date of after April 22nd. Earth Day. Most likely, this event will be held the weekend after. The Date and Location are Tentative. We will be releasing more information as we obtain it.

I bolded the organizations either led by Ron Paul supporters or that at least have Ron Paul supporters involved with them. I understand the post might be controversial. Ron Paul was a supporter of the occupy movement and many of the people involved with it supported Ron Paul. If you don't want to attend this event, please don't. However, if you have an open mind and are interested in learning about Occupy New England, some of the folks involved in it and some of the stuff it does, feel free to attend.

I'm going to need help from all of you in order to make this happen. I don't have many or any contacts for most of these organizations. If I added you to this group, it is because I know that you do, and collectively, we can work together to make a great event that will bring us together, and send our visitors home with something to feel proud about. And have them leaving our event with more knowledge and tools to help be better activists.

I want the most important part of this event to be classes. I listed these classes under the event page, but will re-post them here.

We are hoping to provide several classes for activists at this event. Here are some examples of what we may be offering:
1. Political Candidate Training - How to win an election
2. Media Training - Joining the Twitter Revolution
3. Engaging your legislature - how to propose a bill
4. Maintaining your movement - The importance of mailing lists
5. Committees of Correspondence - keeping your movement informed

Please feel free to add your ideas to this group. We have some time till the event, but I'd really like to get the ball rolling now so we can be better prepared and far less stressed during the actual event.

Pre-registration for classes opened today. There are a ton of classes and pre-registration is free but there are only 25 spots per class. Make sure to pre-register for the classes that interest you soon. Classes are taught by socialists, liberals, moderators, anarcho-socialists and libertarians. All topics might not interest all people

This happens on the same day as the Seacoast Annual Freedom Expo 4-27-13 in Exeter, NH. Durham and Exeter are 26 miles from each other so you could easily attend both events for part of the day.
