Occupy Iowa protesters set to occupy campaign headquarters

Caucus-goers should recite the U.S. Code on the Federal Reserve that explicitly states the members of the Board of Governors need to be chosen based on a "fair representation" of "commercial interests" with no mention of the people. Maybe, those Occupiers will consider a vote for Paul far better than their vote of "no preference" as has been reported.

This thread needs eye bleach. Many OWS protesters are VERY sympathetic with Ron Paul and RP supporters, and it goes both way, I am a Ron Paul supporter who supports strongly OWS. This is an argument for another day. Reach out to these people. They are not going to agree 100% with you, but they show up to all popular campaign HQs so that they can get their message heard.

Also, by writing 'disproves that misconception' you are saying the same thing as "proves that idea"... in case you want your improvident rage to be taken seriously.

I'm only replying to your tone ...

When speaking to Vechorik, speak respectfully. She has done too much to help RP win the caucus through phone from home to put up with snot-nose replies from you.

Does she hold the blame if he doesn't win the caucus?

Let people fight their own battles, you have no idea what other people outside these forums have done for this movement, and you are going to march in here like some gestapo to pass judgement? This is a freaking forum. The real world beckons. The fight is long, and if we mean to win a big election it is going to take a dedicated group of people reaching out to the non-stupids in this country. This includes, unfortunately for the stubborn couch-dwellers, people like me who are willing to stand out in the cold for ballot access, pass out pamphlets on the streets, drive people to polling places, change hearts and minds of the dreaded "other side" on their home front. If you bring half the garbage that is spout on this forum to any serious minded electorate, you are making all our jobs harder. You are letting a potential Iowa victory cloud your long term vision. These people mean to stomp on our faces, discredit the ideals we stand for, and ultimately choose the leaders they want like some sort of inbred monarchy selection process. I'll not stand for it. I come to these forums like I always have, in passing, to stop rampant ignorance when I see it. This wouldn't be nearly as necessary if there wasn't a complete anal expulsion of sympathetic left-leaning supporters on the site... so very frustrating, or can you read that in my tone too?

This entire thread is another exercise in ostracizing potential converts. Why do you people keep doing this to the movement?!

I'm a strong proponent of putting an end to the Fed (see my avatar). The vast majority or OWS protestors arent looking for handouts. Many of them were and are middleclass that see it shrinking. Ron Paul's economic policy and anti-statusquo message is more aligned with this group than any other candidate. So I highly suspect that this could be a good thing if they are willing to listen long enough to RP's message.

I read the article and it quoted Lincoln. What it didn't include from that same quote was an indictment about the central bankers. If anyone from our camp encounters one of these OWS protestors they should be armed with the full tect of the quote. It will help to win a few of them over to our side.

Most of these OWS are mildly retarded. When they see Ron Paul the only thing that registers with them is the R infront of his name.

Don't insult. Some are fantastic, some awful. They are there for a variety of reasons just like the early tea parties. Ron Paul keeps communication open, and so should we.

I can sympathize with the OWS too, to the extent that many of the problems they see in our society are real. But, it's hard to understand why some of them would think big government programs are the answer to these problems. Assisting people from the Federal level dehumanizes the whole process. When people help others at the community level, they have the opportunity to know them personally and understand their problems. They can find out if what's actually needed is food, or job skills training, or help overcoming a drinking problem, or maybe just some encouragement and support. They can see if the help they are giving is truly useful. At the federal level, assistance has become a soulless machine, with cash being automatically transferred from one person to another without any opportunity for personal connection, or creative problem-solving, or the giving and receiving of gratitude.

This is good because being attacked by the far left helps squash the emerging narrative that Ron Paul is a "liberal" himself.
