Don't get too excited. His second official act is lifting the ban on federally funded abortion clinics. So instead of the money going to his aides, it's going to Planned Parenthood.

Some lobbyists work for individual rights-I'm pretty sure the NRA, GOA, and various other freedom-oriented groups have lobbyists. (they did last time I checked)

Neil Cavuto, of FOX News, is absolutely on the money. Barack Obama is absolutely lowering and lowering the number that constitutes, in Official eyes, TAKE ‘EM FOR ALL THEY’RE WORTH.

The objective, I would remind my countrymen, is not to stabilize America at a quote-unquote lesser country’s standard of living. Are ultra-elite Barack and Michelle Obama living on anything that resembles the $100,000+ per year at which he proposes to freeze other peoples’ incomes? Are ultra-hip Barack and Michelle Obama and their uber privileged princess daughters cutting back and doing with less, or were we just treated to the most expensive inauguration in our national history? Directly upon the heels of the most expensive campaign in national history?

As ever, the only thing that’s cheap is talk.

It is my understanding that Barack Obama is sitting on tens of millions of dollars of campaign contributions — y’know, from Little People. Here’s a thought. Barack and Michelle Obama can pay for the uptick in the cost of our Secret Service that is directly attributable to them being Barack and Michelle Obama rather than one of the other tag-teams. It is my understanding that we have been paying for heightened security for him, from earlier on, than for any candidate in history.

True or untrue? Who knows? No time for research. The First Hundred Days is upon us. We must commence, poste haste, fixing nothing and creating new problems. There is no TIME to sort out what happened. Yeah, yeah, we KNOW that Geithner didn’t pay taxes AFTER applying for and receiving from the IMF a fund specifically FOR paying taxes. OF COURSE, that makes the claim of oversight bogus; yes we KNOW that is tantamount to lying. But we are ON to other things. Try to keep up!

If he is so well loved that apathetic American voters behave like they’re at a Beatles’ concert, he can embrace Less Is More with the rest of us. It will also signal to the world that he is not a wuss.

...Obama's new lobbying rules will not only ban aides from trying to influence the administration when they leave his staff. Those already hired will be banned from working on matters they have previously lobbied on, or to approach agencies that they once targeted.

The rules also ban lobbyists from giving gifts of any size to any member of his administration. It wasn't immediately clear whether the ban would include the traditional "previous relationships" clause, allowing gifts from friends or associates with which an employee comes in with strong ties.

The new rules also require that anyone who leaves his administration is not allowed to try to influence former friends and colleagues for at least two years. Obama is requiring all staff to attend to an ethics briefing like one he said he attended last week.

Obama called the rules tighter "than under any other administration in history." They followed pledges during his campaign to be strict about the influence of lobbyist in his White House...

Kindly pay attention to the FACT that Obama introducing a BUNCH OF ADDITIONAL RULES to "limit" lobbyists bears little resemblance to his win-their-hearts-and-minds pledge to have NO lobbyists in "his" White House. Roll the clip.

The people won't serve a socialist government they don't trust. He seems to be building trust with the people, like he did with his supporters in the campaign. Most Obama supporters trust Obama.

Yeah. He's going to keep doing this. And then a crisis will come around the corner. And he will show his true colors. But his wooed supporters will believe that their messiah has no choice but to be a warmongering freedom killing dick head. And even his greatest cynics will join his side. He's probably an amazing poker player.

Anyways, why is this big news? Obama doesn't need to be near those lobbyists. He's already sold out to them.
