Government mandated and controlled Health care,
Welfare, taking wealth from those that earn it and giving to those that don't.
The collective ahead of the individual. "the greater good of the many at the expense of the individual"

It is still private insurers being in control for the most part. sounds more like fascism to me. The goverment forcing you to buy product from private industry. A single-payer government option for all, now that would be socialism. But that ain't in the bill. Because the private interests behind this POS didn't want that. The "left" should be just as pissed about this POS as all of us.

A single-payer government option for all, now that would be socialism. But that ain't in the bill. Because the private interests behind this POS didn't want that. The "left" should be just as pissed about this POS as all of us.

It's a mix of all that's unholy. A little fascism here, a little socialism there, with a good heavy dose of corporatism for good measure. These days you can't pigeon hole these bills and agendas as anything other than anti-American, pro-oligarchy.

Are you assuming that the "private insurers" are not in partnership with the Government?

If not a true partnership it is and has been collusion.
