Obama supporters kind of piss me off.

I'm at a loss to why his oratory is considered to be so worthy of praise. He uses the same, unvaried, unimpressive 'style' in every speech. It's pathetic. What's more pathetic, the whole fucking country is going wild over this man's sub-par rhetoric.

Just while I'm on this topic: has anyone ever seen a public speaker more predictable in his speech rhythms, more unvaried in his speech rhythms, and more transparent in his presentation than John McCain? The guy is ab-sooo-luuuut-ely horrible.

They're both worlds better than Dubya. Our expectations have been lowered considerably over the last seven years.

I don't see why you guys hate Obama so much. Anyone who wants to ban guns, is supported by Qaddafi, and attends a church with a non-negotiable commitment to another country (in this case, Africa) should definitely be our next president.

Obama disagreed. He backed federal legislation that would ban citizens from carrying weapons, except for law enforcement. He cited Texas as an example of a place where a law allowing people to carry weapons has "malfunctioned" because hundreds of people granted licenses had prior convictions.

"National legislation will prevent other states' flawed concealed-weapons laws from threatening the safety of Illinois residents," Obama said.

Libyan strongman Col. Muammar al-Qaddafi weighed in on America's presidential campaign, specifically commenting on both Democratic rivals' repeated calls for "change."
"I've seen that in America, a candidate who wants people to vote for him keeps talking about change," Qaddafi said earlier this week in a televised address on Libyan TV, an obvious reference to Barack Obama.
"They all keep saying 'change, change,' " he continued, adding Hillary Clinton to his reference. "They want to change America and its current political system. They want to make a change in their lives. They say their system is a failure, that their government is a failure, and that their elections are a failure."
Qaddafi offered up Libya as a model for "change," predicting that "the whole world will return to the model of the republic of the masses, to communes, to popular security, to popular defense, to popular capitalism, and to popular socialism.
"The whole world will return to the Libyan model," he said.

p.s. I'm kidding. Obama is the worst.

I am not being snarky, OK, but I am a bit confused by a few things on the list - because I'm trying to see where most people on this board would have issue with some of it. It kind of sounded like a list that the McCain camp would use against Obama. I am probably not understanding a lot of the background on these things ?? So could someone clarify why these are on the bad list?

1.) In 2001 he questioned harsh penalties for drug dealing,
wouldn't Ron Paul pardon non-violent drug offenders?

2.) He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il andMahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Aren't we saying peace with all nations, allegiance to none?

3.) Opposed the Patriot Act.

Didn't Ron Paul oppose the patriot act?

4.) Voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees.

Wouldn't we?

5.) Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded.

Well, has it? Aren't we asking for withdrawal?

Maybe you others out there have a better grasp on these things than I do cause I don't see where those would conflict with the platform Ron Paul is running on. It sounds like something a NeoCon would say was the bad list. Am I lost??

- Was Barack even in politics in 2001? Regardless, running for state senate in Chicago as a black man makes perfect sense that he would question that. How many black drug offenders are locked up in that area? It reeks of pandering.

2.) He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il andMahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Aren't we saying peace with all nations, allegiance to none?

- This is pretty much the only thing I would support him on. But is that campaign rhetoric or is it truth? Who knows.

3.) Opposed the Patriot Act.
Didn't Ron Paul oppose the patriot act?

- Hmm, he voted to continue it. Ron Paul doesnt vote for things he opposes. I guess Barack takes a Hillary stance in that he was against but voted for it but is still against it. OK.

4.) Voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees.
Wouldn't we?

- But yet he speaks of bombing Pakistan. Does it matter who you are tormenting or not?

5.) Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded.
Well, has it? Aren't we asking for withdrawal?

- Only after Hillary became the obvious pro-war Dem candidate. Why has Obama voted repeatedly to fund the war then?

Maybe you others out there have a better grasp on these things than I do cause I don't see where those would conflict with the platform Ron Paul is running on. It sounds like something a NeoCon would say was the bad list. Am I lost??

It's not all black and white !

As mentioned, Barack's rhetoric and his votes often don't coincide. Not the case with Dr. Paul--his voice and his vote agree.

I'm not worry about Obama anymore, he will not be president after all this hate mongering in his church and his wifes comments which just shows he is nothing but a wolf in sheep skin. Hussein Obomba wanted not to play the race card cuz he knew the baggage he had :D

I don't think he'll win either, and I think he could be *the* worst option on the table. I know, that's a hard draw.

He would make a great shepherd.

his speech just highlighted kansas and kenya.
nightline devoted a major story to him last night...

Yes, all the time. I don't know why most diehard Obama fans tend to be diehard jerks. And of course the self-justofication that they're winning their nomination atm... as if that was all that matters.

This is almost poetic in its irony, if not for the butchering of the English language.

howard dean was an internet phenom until his famous "aaaaaaaaaaaarrrg" an'
the two most internet driven campaigns now are barack obama's and ron paul's!!!

romney sent his own bank accounts into a 42 million dollar media blitz tailspin...
guiliani spends 60 million and has few delegates. admittedly huckabee spent
less than 15 million in or near the bible belt, yet his number of delegates is
equal to romney's, even though he spent only a ninth this grand sum of monies...
