Assuming this is true, so what? Eighteen thousand not-so-well-paid mercenaries v. 300 million VERY pissed off Americans, all of whom shoot better than the Germans ever did, have tons of ammo and are armed to the teeth and ready to rock?

What, exactly, is the worry here? Surely it cannot be based in the tactics. Perhaps it is the apparent precedent this so-called "president" would be setting with this request? Great. I hope he does it. Lets see how far it gets "the government".

Oh, and BTW, the story has the stink on it - or so says my nose.

Very true. We don't welcome blue helmets on our soil... they come to police, so be it. The citizenry goes to war.
