Obama Presidency boosts gun sales

i wish i had some cash to buy an AR15 but i dont :( i might buy a stripped lower then piece it together later

It's definitely gonna boost my gun purchases!

As of today, my guns are:

1.) Glock model 30, .45
2.) Winchester Defender slug shotgun
3.) AK Saiga, 7.62 x 39

Tomorrow I'm going to purchase a slightly used .22lr from an aquaintance for $40. He mentioned last night in a card game he doesn't really want it. Well, I do!

I think also shortly I'm going to buy one of those Russian Mosin Nagant rifle packages from www.aimsurplus.com. They are $69, which I find reasonable!

Any other ideas for building an arsenal while I still can? Thanks!

Excuse me sir, but can you tell me the amount you spent on those particular items? I am interested in making similar purchases.

Thank you, dear sir.

Did anyone catch this at the end of the article?

"One of the strangest things I've had happen in the past few weeks was that I've had people coming in here wearing Obama buttons and Obama T-shirts," Glen Parshall, owner of a local Fort Worth gun shop. "[They] tell me they're in here to buy them before he bans them."

Good job douchebags. See what your vote for Obama has already gotten you?

Sure! I bought the glock a long time ago, but I think the price is still pretty comparable, and I think it's around $560, give or take a bit.

The AK Saiga is a super slick rifle, I absolutely love it. Got that one for a "relatively reasonable" (They're going up) $320

The Winchester Defender was a used gun (but barely used) and I got that at Gander Mountain for $190.

I really would like an AR-15, especially now that they're likely to be much more difficult and expensive to aquire, but I really can't see dropping between $800 and $1300 on one gun. We just bought a house and my wife would divorce me. Haha.

My jaw dropped when I read the middle comment on that page:

All the guns in America need to be confiscated immediately and melted down. The metal can then be used to build prisons to incarcerate the former gun owners to serve out a life sentence of hard labor. Any excess metal can be used to build on-demand abortion clinics and homes for newly arrived illegal immigrants. Within months armed crimes will vanish and new jobs will be created. What more can a civil society ask for?

Anyone know what the IQ of the average American is? It doesn't seem too high.

Just bought one of these bad boys last night from gun broker. My old lady said " Oh no you are not buying another gun!". I told her the reason why and she seen it for herself when she went down to Dave's gun shop in Lafayette. People are buying them up like crazy and I love it. I have bought 3 rifles this year and have fallen in love. I currently have a .358 revolver, SKS, Springfield M1A scout, 1892 Mauser argentine, & a brand spanking new RRA Coyote Rifle. It sucks that I am offshore right now and will be out here a total of 8 weeks because I really want to hold my two babies right now You know ( my old lady & my new gun).

Oh I am seriously thinking about spending another 1k to get into reloading after I get home. I am disgusted with the ammo prices and its getting absolutely ridiculous with the shortages and price hikes. I don't blame the manufacturers I blame the government for all the problems especially the price increases. So one day I'll make my very own.

Went to the local gun show today. Slight increase (5% to 10%) in ammo prices. No real change in handgun prices. Big interest in the ARs and AKs, but the dealers were not, as a rule boosting prices much.

At least 30% more people there than normally, and AR parts dealers were crowded.

People were buying - panic has not yet set in, but you can sense the unease.

IN Virginia, a gun show reported a three hundred percent increase in sales.

Went to a gun shop today. The shops are selling out of guns.

Two days ago I bought a cheap Mossberg shotty. A day later I went back to the store (Dick's Sporting Goods) to pick it up, and the rest of the Mossberg's had gone up $20!

Over the past couple of months I've seen 7.62x39 go from $189 to $249 a case.

AK's are getting REALLY hard to find. If you've ever entertained the idea of owning one, you'd better pony up the dough before the price doubles or they disappear altogether.

I've purchased 3 guns in the past month: a 9mm pistol, a .45 and a shotgun.....I feel like a crack addict! :D So yeah, I've kinda given in to the hysteria, but let's face it, it isn't unfounded.
