Obama Joker flyers appear in Nashville

Matt, I don't get the joke, please explain it to me...

Ok, Obama is a socialist I get that...

but what does the Joker have to do with socialism? especially the Heath Ledger version? How is Obama similar to the Joker?

Um, I'm serious, I think it doesn't make any sense. The joker was not a socialist. he wasn't anything really. Is Obama joking about implementing socialism? I don't think so.

Both are diabolical villains bent on total control of the population who recognize no moral limitations and who burst onto the scene in 2008 attaining cult-like followings for superficial reasons.

read it, nobody said anything that made sense, like this next quote.

That is your interpretation, but I doubt that is what the creator was going for, and I doubt that is how people interpret it.

This seems like it's just capitalizing on the popularity of the joker. That's it. In other words, Obama is a villain, and he's a joker, because he's a socialist.

Sorry that is lame, it has no punch, and it's not creative. It's just trying to be trendy and it fails.

I think going to town halls and trying to capture that energy and turn it to something constructive is what we should be doing now.

Good point, however simple imagery such as this gets the point across. And it's spreading because it's popularity it rising. It may not be the best way to debate policy of course, but it does help raise awareness about the discontent against socialism and President BO.

If it didn't have no punch, it wouldn't have made the news and people wouldn't be offended by it.

I think you should be talking about what you should be doing and quit criticizing other people's projects.

It made the news because Obama is painted like the Joker. The Joker was a very popular movie character last year. The media is fucking retarded.

Most importantly, it's not going to sway anybody's opinion on the right or left (or wherever else they are). Therefore, I don't think it accomplishes anything.

Jesus, stop twisting my words. I mean it doesn't accomplish anything productive. Obama voters think it is stupid, Bush/McCain voters think it is awesome, end of story.

It is an open mockery of Obama that has generated lots of publicity and chips away at his media created god-man image. . That's a good thing!

I think this is a bad idea. That image is offense to many people and the only thing that would be accomplished is to make people think you are some kind of sicko. Even though you may accept those kinds of images from the media every day others do not.

I said it before and I'll say it again. This would make a much better poster.

^yeah, that one's not bad. It actually conveys a message. Overall, though, I think sticking to issues are better. You can tie in Obama to the issues, but you still need to be talking about issues. Otherwise people will just think you're bitter.
