He is dumb in his policy views but have to say McCain appears like a gracious loser.

That's because ever since at least his days at the Naval Academy, he's had lots of practice being a loser.

Because mcCain conceeded so early...i am convinced the fix was in for Obama long ago. After all...they have been groomng him for this for years. nothing in government happens by accident. I will be amazed if we ever have another white president. call me a racist..i dont' give a shit. tones

You're absolutely correct. When was the last time a freshman Senator that no one had ever heard of before he ran for Senate suddenly up and winning even a party's nomination, must less the presidency? The fix was in for this election almost two years ago. This is the only thing that explains why the Republican's 'front-runners' would drop out and leave the nomination to the one Republican candidate that didn't stand a snow-ball's chance of beating Obama. Sadly, with a Dem in the White House and the Dems controlling CONgress, I'm afraid that things are going to be even worse in the near future than they were when the Repubs controlled everything (if that's possible). Some choice the 'people' had this time around - a vote for fascism for a vote for socialism. Not much of a choice in my book. At least I got to vote for Dr. Paul once (primary) and Dr. Baldwin (general). My conscience may be clear but my outlook for the future is much less so.

I had to turn my TV off. I couldn't stand another second of watching the traitors, I mean sheep, I mean voters and media cheering. I'm going to start pissing people off by calling them comrade.

I didn't even turn my TV on at all tonight (or the radio either, for that matter). I knew exactly what to expect, and couldn't bear to witness it. As I write this, I can hear the fireworks and horns blowing in the distance (but, not distant enough).

And to those cheering the demise of the GOP, that's all fine and dandy, but many of them have no clue as to what has been wrought tonight.

Hi Ya!! I've been doing plenty of 'lurking' the past few months but, once I saw the general direction of a lot of the threads after Dr. Paul dropped out of the race (mainly all the bickering and name calling), I just didn't have the heart to jump in. Tonight, after seeing what many of us feared would happen actually take place, I just felt a need to be among some friends that I was pretty sure were feeling the same surrealism that I was feeling watching all those huge crowds cheering for Obama (kinda reminded me of the crowds cheering for the Nazis before WWII). I can't speak for Randy, but I'm going to try and be a more active visitor/poster again to get involved with the next 'game plan' and discussions of practical options for helping get our Country back on track!!!

I lurked here for a long, long time before ever actually registering (I finally had reached a point where I had something relevant to say in a thread that had not been said by someone else first!), and I don't post very often. You've always been one of the best at calling out those who need it in those times of bickering. See the second (if memory serves correctly) post I ever made, I think it can be looked up that way here.

I'm going to try and be a more active visitor/poster again to get involved with the next 'game plan' and discussions of practical options for helping get our Country back on track!!!
