Mr. Obama’s tirades on trade have included accusations that these liberal Democrats are ignorant about trade policy, insincere when offering their opinions, motivated by politics and not the national interest, and backward looking towards the past. Obama’s repeated attacks against Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), in which he charged that Warren’s concern about the trade bill is motivated not by a reasoned view of what is right for America but by her personal political motivations, is one of the most dishonest and repellant examples of character assassination and contempt by any American president, against any leading member of his own party, in my lifetime.

I cannot help but think this is all theater. To what end is not immediately clear, though I am wondering whether the broad distrust of this "man" is well recognized by the Jackass Party such that, in order to improve their chances in '16 they have contrived this unprecedented rift in their own ranks, Obama playing the role of Foamy. As Foamy goes, well, foamy over this issue, attacking his own, rather than circling the wagons as Theye always do, they toss this one under the bus just as Theye did with Bush^2 almost exactly 2 years before he was to leave office. What does that accomplish? I believe it establishes that sliver of hope for which humans seek to claim - that all in which they have believed and vested themselves is not lies and deceit. The Party, which transcends the candidate/officer comes to the rescue after the president-gone-mad runs amok. By this means they remain whole in the sight of their hopelessly gullible constituents. It all plays out well psychologically, if one thinks about it. The humble party is only there to promote the candidate and see him in office. They have no other interests than that which is best for the people... <harps playing> One elected, of course, the Party is not in any way responsible for what the elect do. And of course the must allow things to take their course... because Theye are so humble. But when a line is crossed, the Party becomes the sudden and implacable foe of he who does wrong. The fact that this always happens at the perfect time for the upcoming election cycle is, naturally, pure coincidence.

The upshot of all this maneuvering would be to retain the cleanliness of the Party and that for which it stands, that none of their fold be driven into the arms of the enemy or, God forbid, they go independent. The horror. This leaves their next raft of fellow Jackass hopefuls viable as candidates for the coming circus act. It seems to me plausible that because in this case there was no way to concretely lay the blame for just about everything at the feet of the Republicans, the Jackasses have cleverly doped it out that they have to sacrifice their own in order not to sustain far greater and broader damage to themselves and their agenda. Therefore, out come the big brooms and under the bus goes America's first black and coincidentally gay, non-christian president. Americans will likely forget all of this by Jan 21st, 2016, so in Theire minds this is but a minor thing.

HOWEVER... it appears Theye are expending great political capital to do this, which indicates to me that this is a REALLY big gamble for them. Mayhaps that they are simply stalling for time until their material plans are in better place, after which come what may they will be ready.

Now, before anyone accuses me of having gone too far 'round the paranoia bend, I point you to the fact that DoD has recently recalled all NG Apache helicopters, to be replaced by cargo birds. In case you have not realized it, this is a VERY disturbing move, as the Guard are having their ability to engage armor stripped away from them. Think on that a bit and then get back to me on why you think that is not a good thing. I have now turned my eyes to the A10s they retain. If those are also repatriated to DoD, then you'd all had better start soiling yourselves because they have had those birds a very long time, there being no reason to strip them of those weapons platforms.

If this is not what is happening, then I can only suggest is that Obama has been smoking too much of the political crack he has been peddling to the American people for the past 6 years. Having rotted his own mind in this way, he is doing nothing fancier than committing political suicide before the entire world, which is fine by me, save that he has begun about 5.75 years too late.

President Obama’s sharp rebuke of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D) over his ambitious trade agenda is backfiring in the House, where the personal attacks are alienating the same Democrats the president is courting for votes.

Warren, a freshman liberal from Massachusetts, has emerged as among the fiercest and most visible opponents of Obama’s trade wish list, which includes deals with countries in Asia and Europe the president is hoping to make a legacy of his White House tenure.

The tough tenor was designed to rally the backing of more Democrats, particularly in the House, where GOP leaders are struggling to find the 217 votes needed to pass the fast-track bill aimed at facilitating those pacts.
