Obama addresses America

This speech was the end of any mandate Obama had to rule the country. He is a lame duck from this point on.
 
So Obama admits that Syria is no threat to us at all... and then says they are a threat to our national security. He says he is determined to strike and then says he wants Russia to solve this with their plan, as he tries to take credit for it. This guy is all over the place.

Peace is not a part of a healthy government diet. Don't worry, there will be plenty of time for them to figure out how to circumvent the problem of figuring out how to make an attack seem like a reasonable course of action. The planners are busy at work, they just need more time.

Obama asked the Congress to "postpone" the vote on military authorisation. To me this sounds like a plan to sidestep the Congress. Note that he hasn't given up on his military plans, he just says he is no longer interested in Congressional opinion.

My impression also. However, the broken theater he so miserably failed at, puts him in genuine impeachment territory if he does.
