Oathkeepers on HardBall

I love how Chris tries to make it sound like Oath Keepers is some military coup or some shit.

I believe you. How do you think Stewart did? I'll be seeing him this weekend...

Make sure to thank him for his hard work and going through that infuriating attack by Chris and that weasel from the SPLC.

Good job MSNBC make people who know what's going on look like wackos. Yes keep the sheep in the dark and let them come crying to us later. I don't watch enough of chris' show to really believe he's ok with RP's philosophy.

I know its always some right wing conspiracy with that channel. Is there anything wrong with preparing for something bad, god forbid it does happen.

That guy wasn't prepared and Chris started asking him leading questions.

"George Lucas" never read the MIAC report or knew that tea parties were being surveilled by the gov't.

That last part about disarmament he needed to talk about Holder's opinion and recent legislation limiting firearms and or ammo.

Thanks R_P_K

someone else offline pointed out that the foreign troops/Hessian answer could have been better.

I'll be using this thread in my discussion, everyone's input is much appreciated.

Chris Matthews seems to be under the impression that it's impossible for the federal government to declare martial law and start rounding people up into concentration camps. He neglects the fact that it has happened here and in many other countries in the past. There are definitely people here in America who would initiate and support such an action.

There are also criminals in this country who would initiate attacks on federal buildings and holocaust museums. Matthews seems to think that Stewart is encouraging that sort of behavior.

These are both examples of criminal acts, and they both go directly against that Stewart is talking about, which is simply upholding our existing laws.

Stewart should have taken the opportunity to condemn the guy who attacked the holocaust museum.

Mathews took some things from the list of 10 Orders We will not obey and asked if he really thought these things could happen. He ignored the things on the list which already HAVE happened; warrantless searches, orders to confiscate the property of the American people, and infringing on the right of the people to free speech and to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances. (Not to mention disarming Katrina victims)

MATHEWS: "Okay. I guess I've always assumed that people knew that ever since Nuremberg, obeying orders wasn't a legitimate defense. And therefore I assumed that this wasn't necessary to form a vigilante group like this one. Or to get people all roused up against their government."

How many have accused the Bush Administration of war crimes, yet we don't see any trials. Obama has only helped to cover things up. Was he sincere about "assuming" that "Nuremberg" ensures that all is forever well?
