The nostalgic description of their "down home" talk very easily applies to the KKK mentality that underlies these racist idiots. Leave it to the South to get its nose out of joint, and its guns loaded for no other reason than having a Black President. These same morons voted in GW Bush, who was the real cause of many of todays problems in the USA. He started an illegal war funded by massive debt to China, and deregulated the banks and mortgage companies who inflated real estate and then reinvested the money and lost it. These Southerners are the same people who drive big gas guzzling trucks, and then blame Obama for oil company recklessness that has gone on for over 60 years. The United States is not threatened by terrorism. It is threatened by stupidity, and small minded people who think Sarah Palin, and Fox News is worth listening to. What they fail to realize is that Fox is owned by an Aussie with strong links to the UK, and it is the UK wealthy that wants a weaker America. Our misadventure with Tony Blair resulted in the dollar plummeting to half the value of the Pound, and Blair new it would happen. The UK also wants the USA to open the door to Middle-Eastern oil, and to American oil in the Gulf. All of these influences are destroying American stability. The South doesn't need shooting lessons, it needs history lessons, and it needs to learn how to read.

What'd you expect from the Slimes readership?

Certainly not hugs and kisses, right? ;)

Hey look at it this way, they had to read about it and upset their digestion of Brie and quiche.

I attended an Appleseed in MINNESOTA this past April and I don't think Obama's name came up once.

Lolz

I just read the article and the comments.

About what I expected, of course the usual comments from cultural auditors that pronounce the insanity of everything we believe in, the ADL and the SPLC were present.

Law of Journalism 121-(c) section A-4:

Every article published mentioning Ron Paul will contain the word "quixotic" at least once.

section A-5:

Every article having anything to do with the "freedom" culture shall have no less than two quotes each from a spokesperson from the ADL and the SPLC

Another thing for the urban mundanes to get their knickers in a knot over.

One of the comments:

I think the country would be better off if it hadn't declared independence and fought a war against Great Britain. Look at Canada. It's not so bad.

Here's another winner:

I get tired of asking this, but it needs to be asked again. Where were all these anti-government types, these self-styled "Defenders of Liberty," when we needed them? Where were they when that chimpanzee George W. Bush was dismantling the US Constitution, starting illegal wars based on fake news, destroying our economy, and laying the legal foundation for the Torture State? Where were they?

Umm, right here stupid, yelling just as loudly about lost liberty as I am now under the "chimpanzee" Obama.

Let me ask you, Alan in California, where the fuck is the anti war left these days?

All of a sudden you guys own the wars and the killing and it's all good now, right?

You fucking hypocrites.

They don't drop a Ron Paul until page 5!

After lunch in the nearby city of Gold Bar, we returned to Monroe for a meeting at a diner with two friends that Faire met while working on the Ron Paul presidential campaign. One talked of establishing a camp where like-minded dissidents might be trained in the use of arms. The man asked for Faire’s help. Faire seemed reluctant to commit. The man said, “I told my wife 30 years ago, ‘I’m tired of being an insignificant man living in a broken culture.’ ” And yet here he was three decades later, still looking for his first recruit. Did he really want to be dangerous?

I’m tired of being an insignificant man living in a broken culture.

My lament, summed up neatly in one sentence.

Sigh, I'm with you AF and Gunny.

Keep in mind, the journalist spent a great deal of time with the AS folks, and I'm willing to bet that his original article was much more favorable to AS in general. The piece reads like a dyslectic wrote it. Rambles all over the place, contains all the usual stereotypical phrases...so it's obvious that it got "amended" by the editors.

Someone asked my why I posted this on fb the other day, and the answer is simple, we need to be aware of what they are saying about our ilk so we can counter in an intelligent way.

Fred is experienced at this sort of thing, I'm sure that the reporter went away with a much more positive experience than what ended up getting posted.

A friend commented on my fb, that there were folks from other segments of the population other than white, Anglo-Saxon descendents at the AS he attended an that all were made to feel welcome.

Pity the journalist wasn't able to post that.

I'm fairly tired of trying to convince the chardonnay drinking, Southampton crowd of the validity of our concerns.

An Editor probably asked the writer, "so were there anyone other than white people there?" ..... "Well, no..." "Okay thanks (makes edit)."

I know AF and C, I just keep plugging away...umm maybe not the best phrase..

I actually feel pity for a lot of those who posted in the comments.

It would be funny if it were not so sad.

its OK boys and girls....let the comments come in....

just look forward and keep shooting, keep your skills up.

upsidedown and backwards

As the real Mr.Faire I can tell for a fact the writer turned everything that was carefully stated upside down and wrote the opposite of what was really said.
The NY type live in a fantasy world from their own twisted imagination, they have such a hard reality lesson yet to come.

Some folks will never get it.
Glad to see you post, :)
Hope you are doing better.

The news is that Monday morning (prob about 8:50 AM EST) on nationwide Fox News channel, an Appleseed spokesperson will be interviewed in front of as many as three million viewers.

Typical MSM would dictate 8:59 play.:(

I am forever gullible and hope for a fair showing.

No surpise that Appleseed is demonized. It's easy to demonize private gun ownership, militias, etc. when you have a large Standing Army within the country.
