Today's NYT has an article about endorsements ("Endorsements of All Shapes and Sizes"). In the print edition, they have a photomontage of all the six remaining candidates standing next to each others.

Lo and Behold, Paul is being shown as the shortest of the bunch, even shorter than Clinton! It is very jarring when you look at the photo, it looks unnatural. They could not help themselves but make him look like a midget.

Now I checked and Paul is a pretty tall fellow, right up there with Romney and Obama, all at or above 6'. The real midgets physically and mentally are McCain and Huckabee!

It is very sinister that a "reputable" newspaper should resort to tricks that smack of CIA Psy-Ops.

I hate it when the media does stuff like that, but please don't slam midgets. By definition, a midget is anyone 4'10" or under who is normally proportioned, and I happen to be one of them. My father and I are both midgets, and I think my intelligence is fine (although I can't speak for him). Go ahead and get mad for what the media is doing, but don't group Huckabee and McCain in with midgets, please! ;)

By the way, midgets are not mentally handicapped. Sorry, but that's what you were insinuating. I know you guys are mad, but be aware that short guys don't equal stupid guys.

On that note, the media should also stop trying to make Ron Paul look like a little, insignificant man.

That also looks like his actual height when standing side-by-side with the others.

There's such thing as being hypersensitive, and I agree - at least he's in there. No bad media here, sorry.

The fact that it's innaccurate makes it somewhat bad. It would be easier to let slide if not for the fact the height of the other candidates look pretty accurate.

Anyone have an account so they may comment?

Wow then hillary must be 6 feet tall and 300 pounds then!

Oh come on you can't be serious!?

PLEASE tell us you don't actually believe that the heights of the candidates, when stood side-by-side JUST HAPPEN to match up exactly with how the media views their importance and how the polls reflect the same.

Not at all, I would never make such sweeping assumptions. I was using the term as in the expression "mental midget" Urban Dictionnary

I believe, Sir, you are a dwarf, not a midget. Midgets have short limbs. I have researched this.

Look at the shoulder line for all the candidates, his are much lower than everybody else, even Clinton who is 5'6. This is anatomically problematic.

Ron Paul's photo was distorted to achieve a specific visual cue and corresponding psychological response. We are not dealing with amateurs here, they know what they are doing!

Yeah, sorry for that. It's been a bad day, so I kind of flew off the handle for a moment there. Ron Paul is speaking in Fargo, which only several hours away from here, and I can't be there!

Things haven't been going great for me in general, and I had a moment where I misread and got mad.

Again, I'm very sorry.

All the short guys conquer the world...don't they know?
Napoleon was 5' 6.
What is important is the size of his brain, his heart and his conscience. The other candidates are not well endowed in those departments.

Other large things that are not helpful:
Thirst for fame;
Greed
Vanity.

Gotta hand it to him. He's well in deficit for all that.

Romney is the tallest in the republican field. Maybe he has some platform heals on or something. Is Obama that tall? Bet RP could still beat these whippersnappers in a 200 meter race!

I've seen Paul in person, he's probably 5`11 or 6`0.. McCain is pretty small statured..

Not to worry. I did not take it personally. I did not want people to misconstrue my comment as being disrespectful to anybody. Hope your day gets better

It takes courage to stand tall, irrespective of your height.
