Nullify Now Conference (Raleigh, NC) - 10/19/13

Some friends have all but begged me to go, even provided tickets. So I figure I'll go. I admit I'm a little surprised that nobody asked me to speak at this, being the only NC legislator to introduce actual nullification bills in the last century.

Go inform those folks. The Paul people know because they're news junkies, but I bet the majority of tea party people and rank and file republicans have no idea.

Now, that's just messed up ... :(

I'm pretty surprised by that, too. You should ask Bill Kennedy what's up with that.

eh. I'm not ego-driven. Here I'm with people I trust so I'll say whatever. Out there I don't care enough about it to make myself look narcissistic. :p

The only thing I can figure is about 8 months ago I started advocating for a method of implementing the identical policies in North Carolina by a subtle shift in rhetoric, away from "Tenth Amendment Nullification" and into "Article Six Non-Pursuance." I can tell you for a fact that nothing "Tenth Amendment" or "nullification" will be passed in North Carolina in the next 20-30 years because of many factors that I ran head on into. So I figured you could do the exact same thing talking Article Six Non Pursuance. Best I can figure that is what made me persona non grata amongst that crowd, because they are more wedded to the rhetoric of it than the actual policy implementation.

Adam Love of NC C4L, Nicole Revels of Carolina Liberty PAC, Dr Dan Eichenbaum of Dr. Dan's Liberty Forum, Greg Brannon, Publius Hulda, and of course Mike Church and Tom Woods, just off of memory. I may have missed someone.
