NRA is offering a FREE membership for one year as a show of force to congress and to fight upcoming gun control legislation...I joined and I didn't see any strings and was not asked for credit card. tones

Yeah, it was convenient for me because

a) I work a mile from the HQ, where there is a REALLY nice range I can pop over to during lunch, and

b) I've been seriously considering becoming an instructor, and they "strongly suggest" that you be an NRA member to get their cert....

Make no mistake. Someone figured out that in a climate of hysteria, the million bucks they'd eat on this would be a fraction of the value of the list of new rubes they can mass-mail for years to come.

I joined.

I don't agree with everything the NRA has done. I don't like that they are not as strict as the GOA or the JPFO. However, they are big and well known, and any organization that throws some ideas into the wind and gets mentioned as protecting some liberties deserves my attention.

There's no harm in joining (for free no less), receiving newsletters, and spreading the word.

I`m telling you they suck and I am a lifetime member I joined 20 years ago before I realized they are nothing more than another special interest group who hang out and rub elbows constantly with the very scum that wish to deny us our rights. They like to build big buildings for their overpaid bureaucrats with donations from hard working Americans, they have co-wrote every major piece of anti-gun legislation,and they trample property rights. Reach around and pull your head out...your colluding with the enemy. But hey it was free, and you get a magazine every month and a bunch of "vote freedom first" stickers which are a joke because the NRA is not about freedom. Have fun sucker you are screwing us all.
