Try the print preview

I just wanted to see how long it was. Try the print preview of the page.

It came out to be 682 pages long.

Lmao.

I certainly hope other members of the media get a wiff of this list of Ron Paul Supporters - all I can say is that it is about time!!!

I thought my browser was going to crash when that page was loading.

Nice! I submitted mine:

I am a 29 year old software developer from Los Angeles. I had never heard of Dr. Paul before the first Republican debate. What he was saying was outrageous, amazing, and totally against the grain. I was swayed by the 'moderators' and became angry at Dr. Paul. So angry that I decided to look into his speeches and voting record. It was then that I realized that not only was he totally correct, but that he is the most consistent and principled man in Congress.

I have delved deep and given up both my Christmas and wedding anniversary trips in order to donate to his campaign. I consider this money spent very well, money spent trying to help myself, my family, and all of my fellow Americans.

I feel honored to be among those who posted those comments. Reading them has been inspirational. God Bless you all.

NPR respectfully shuts down the comments

How is this for a VICTORY?!?!?!

CLOSED: Who Are Ron Paul's Supporters?
Interview with Bennett Roth

Greetings, Ron Paul fans. You've been an incredibly civil, thoughtful, well-spoken and engaged crowd. Thing is, you're also an incredible crowd -- so much so that we can't keep up with turning on all your comments. As of 8:10 or so a.m. Eastern, we're going to turn off commenting on this thread. If time permits, we'll circle back and post comments that were filed earlier.

And we do hope you'll keep hanging around the Bryant Park Project. You've become part of the show, and we'd really miss you.

Laura

I'm not sure how to do an actual count but there seems to be thousands and thousands of replies!!! (can someone smarter than me get a total count and post it here?) This should be used to counter any "he can't win" diatribe.

That's right! Over 3200 comments before they shut it down. I'm sure it would have been many many more. That's why we came up with the idea for www.WeAreRonPaul.com, a place where people can leave comments just like this for the world to see. Totally searchable, with videos optional too! Check it out:

Idea: maybe you could contact the NPR people and ask them to give a plug to the website if / when they "circle back" on the story as they said they might.

I count 3898 comments, exactly.

I just copied and pasted all the comments into TextWrangler then searched for the term "Sent by" and it returned 3898 results.

Push for a follow up story

NPR now has posted a blip entitled, "The End of our Ron Paul-valanche". RP supporters are posting comments to that asking them to do a follow up story relating to the vast diversity of RP supporters that posted comments to the original "request".

http://www.npr.org/blogs/bryantpark/2007/12/the_end_of_our_ron_paulvalanch.html

Such a follow up story could be a very powerful tool to dispel the myth that RP supporters are just "radical college students, conspiracy theorists, and abrasive 'loons'".

Let's give them another 4,000 reasons to do the follow up story. I encourage all to be civil and positive. NPR commented on how civil and respectful the first 4,000 RP supporters were.
