Now I understand WHY Ron Paul repeats the same answers in debate after debate

Unfortunately, the same message from Dr. Paul going over the heads of Joe Q. Public isn't changing his support numbers fast enough....

He's not talking at a level that will wake up the average American, and even when someone can make it more clear....
I worry that educating the American people with the facts, connecting the dots at a 6th grade level, will take years, not months. Apparently, 7 out of 100 Americans understand it now (some have understood for years and decades). What will it take to double and triple these numbers ? How does one create a message that says at the 6th grade level getting rid of the institution that creates money for the U.S. will make America richer ? How does one construct a message that says at an elementary grade level, removing our troops from the middle east, where we are fighting a country with the same religion as the 9/11 attackers, will make America stronger and safer ? How about creating a message that sounds intuitive and yet says no more CIA, and no more Homeland Security will make America stronger ?

the above is part of what I wrote here

He says the same thing all the time because he does not pander or lie. He gives the message...the message...the message. Hammering it in daily. People can call it cultish, but too many Americans feel like this monstrosity of a government is too evil and complicated to even begin to fix. His message chimes in pitch perfect. Its basic. The Constitution stupid. Even all of the lawyering, how difficult the laws are and the interpretation is probably all unconstitutional. They just make it up to suit themselves.

Some people think Paul supporters are weird because we know his platform--I tell them they are weird because they are going to vote for (not support) someone who has no platform--they just talk about nothing and make you feel good. I will feel good when I have some more and better money. I will feel good when I am not afraid that my son will be drafted in five years. I will feel good when we stop killing children all over the world with our twisted foreign policy. I will feel good when people are forced to run their own government because they have to--there is nobody to bail them out. The White House needs some Pauls today!!!

I actually don't think it is his method or message that is the problem. I think the problem is that Americans aren't listening. Americans are foolish--if they didn't see you on the news, you must not be newsworthy, so you must be a chump. Americans want to win--even if it means losing. They will vote for a fool for the sake of saying that they were with that group that correctly picked the winner. Americans are afraid--they have been getting their arses kicked by the government for so long, that they cannot think of the government actually leaving them alone. We have been conditioned to WANT to pay tribute to the king. We WANT to go fight and die in a criminal war. We WANT to go kill people and occupy other countries cause we are the big BADASS AMURICUNS!

When there are two standing---the masses will be forced to listen. Hopefully--I just wonder what Hillary's strategy will be--the same laughing and mocking? Is Obama going to try to play Dr. P like a CHUMP? I just can't imagine.

I understand your concern--I used to think the same way. But what made me a more dedicated supporter was what I found when I did my own research. Paul said, "welfare state" and from my upbringing I thought that was racist codeword. So, I went and read speeches and watched video and learned what he meant by that---he is not talking about $200 monthly checks to a woman and a child for pampers and milk--when actually that money is more likely going straight to a utility company or grocery store. He is talking about the corporate welfare--the mega zillions of tax dollars handed over to private companies so they can do business. Poor women are not what is breaking this economy. And as soon as we fix this country, there will be more jobs and opportunity for men to have famillies and actually take care of them. Schools will actually educate people. AMericans will see the benefit of actually taking care of themselves, because they won't be ripped off by the government--working hard to still have nothing.

I love learning from Dr. Paul---it is good for the soul. Hhhmm...Dr. Paul---CHicken SOUp for America!!!!

Not to mention that us Ron Paulites watch more debate footage than the rest of the human population combined :). Most people, if they even watch a debate, will only watch one.

That's true. I remember a poster back just before Iowa (or NH, can't remember) for the Univision debate that wrote something along the lines of "if you live in the cold north and just spent the last hour straining to remember your Spanish from high school to understand a debate, you just might be a Ron Paul supporter!"

Very good points so far!

I would like to see one little adjustment to the delivery of the Message by Dr. Paul, primarily at these debates, and that is to use a couple or few additional words to frame the message in a way that he is actually speaking to the voter that makes the voter feel an instant emotional attachment of something to the effect of "Wow, that gentleman is talking directly to me about this important message he is speaking."

I don't know if that is possible to do, but I think if it could be pulled off we would see it in voting results.

At first I just thought he wasn't creative when it came to debate talk. I would become mildly irritated when watching a new debate only to hear him say practically the same thing he had in previous debates. I'd say to myself, "Somebody hire this guy a speech writer". I thought maybe the budget of a grassroots supported candidate only afforded him to use one speech over and over again. Well this morning I just came to the realization WHY.

Many of us heard his message loud and clear the first time he spoke. His words resonated with us and we immediately felt a calling to step up for him. Consider us the first wave of the Revolution. For the past few months he has been speaking to the rest of the population, the still dormant second wave of the Revolution. His repeated phrasing is intentional and designed to awaken a public that was not yet prepared to accept his message when we first heard it. He has used each of his appearances on television or interviews on radio to essentially repeat the same message.

Well it's only a matter of time before the rest of America comes around. I feel a great awakening is coming. A surge of new support is on the horizon. Prepare for the second wave of the Ron Paul Revolution!!!

maybe because they keep asking him the same damn questions?

Ron Paul is too much of an intellectual

absolutely agree. explains why his writings are brilliant, and it's difficult for most of Americans to follow him when he speaks. In fact, I understand more of what he says after reading the debate transcripts than listening to him live.

This what people remember after hearing Candidates...

MCCAIN - burkas, make it a 100, islamofashist, my friends, straight talk
ROMNEY - who let the Dogs out, psst....'support', 'change taxes'
GUILIANI - 9/11
HUCKABEE - echo...echo...of Ron Paul's ideas plus God made him do it
RON PAUL --- Bring them home, make government smaller, get rid of IRS, don't police the world, get back to gold standard.

everything he says pops up in the news.

our boarders aren't secure.
our army is failing.
our troops are dying.
the surge isn't working.
we're running out of money.
the dollar is tanking.
the gold is gone.
we need sound money.

His message is seeping in everywhere.

Moving Testimonial

I think in order to maximize the effect of a statement the listener must feel the immediate and direct involvement with the topic as well as the magnitude of the consequences as a result of the occurrences in relation to the listener.

it is know that a person needs to see something 7 times before they are sold. Repetition is how things are won.... It is a proven method as well as the other little tricks this smart man is doing that I am not even going to discuss here.

Pretty soon people start saying the same thing as the doctor. Then you have cultural engineering at work, spreading from one mind to another.
Eventually it becomes a meme, a carrier of the anti-bodies needed to cure a cultural disease.

Great analogy!

People who intentionally tune him out, if they hear him say it enough will have to hear it eventually and catch on!
