November 5th Money Bomb!

You know, it's kind of interesting. By reading your receipt posts in this thread, and matching up your locations to the locations of people on the "recent donations" ticker, I can learn your names.

how does it feel to be a turd in the punch bowl?

Still getting a lot of new likes, shares, and RT's on the posts and people joining the Facebook event just now... so hopefully they keep the ticker and everything going. And I still have more I planned to post but wasn't able to get to yet.

Pretty elementary sleuthing there but congrats.

The only mistake Rand made was in assuming (as many of us did) that members of the liberty movement would be smart enough to understand what he was trying to do: to recognize him as one of their own, despite his efforts to create a more moderate persona.

Do you know what you call someone who creates a false facade to win the ignorant? A liar. So, why should I trust a liar?

Just got an email from the campaign promoting the money bomb:

Remember, remember the 5th of November."

If you've ever seen the movie V for Vendetta, you know that's the central tagline used by the revolutionaries who are fighting their oppressive government.

Yes, a revolutionary anarchist.

So curious, was this considered a successful moneybomb? I mean Rand did make, over the course of the day, that which Ron Paul made in the first half hour of his Nov 5th moneybomb. Ticker is almost at $217k, so was this successful? Or is this money bomb going to stretch over the course of a week as they have had to do in the past? What is the plan?

Also, since all the polls are apparently wrong, does that mean there is an issue with the ticker as well? Maybe there is a zero missing from the end that we don't know about?

2020 here we come! :)

my take on this is there are 'people' who claim to want limited government, didn't really like the Guy Fawkes idea, and equated the real Fawkes as a 'terrorist', when in fact it is about the character 'V' in the movie who disrupts the tyranny in England by blowing up Parliament as a way to wake people up...V' the character, was only inspired by Fawkes, and his balls to blow up the Parliament for religious reasons...

oh well...onward. Almost a quarter million for Rand, and thats the important thing...it was fun.

I think "anonymous's" use of the guy fawkes mask plays some part here for sure

yep...the 'V' mask has now been transformed to a new meaning. It represents opposition to tyranny and fascism. Too bad it was lost on so many limited government types.

Don't believe it's about smart enough. It's about the raw honesty and education Ron Paul brought forth on topics. This attracted the true wide pool of silent majority.

I donated 100.00 yesterday, even though I had said that I wouldn't unless he showed himself to be what he started out being...more like his father. I think that recently he has shown that much more.
I haven't always jumped for joy over everything Rand has said and done, but, at least for me, this effort was about the opportunity to offer support to the most deserving candidate for POTUS in the 2016 field. Rand fills that bill to a degree none of the others can even hope to lay claim. I am happy to have played my small roll of support.

So the grand total was around $60k

This is literally 1/100th of what Ron did in his moneybombs.

I donated 201.60 even though I believe the day of the "moneybomb" is over. I don't see it ever being a factor as it was in 2007. Then it was new and exciting. A way for the grassroots to make a splash (and it did). Moneybombs today don't have the appeal. They're passe'. That was a special time and a special movement that will not happen again. There will be other movements and they will be identified by other events...
