I appreciate your hard work, I just don't understand the low turnout. I was approached by a random supporter today and got pumped, then check to see total and feel deflated.
 
Maybe people are waiting for the Friday pay check?
Also, how does one find out how much has already been donated so as not to go over the limit?

Oh boo-freaking-hoo....

I've been offering my opinion and advice on this moneybomb and Rand's lackluster campaign for YEARS. I said before and I'll say it again. There is a REASON people aren't excited for Rand. There is a REASON people aren't wearing "RAND PAUL CURED MY APATHY" T-shirts. There is a REASON for all of it. Many here on RPF have been arguing FOR the revolution that was started in 2007.

I donated to this effort and I let others know about it. But did I do door to door? Did I tirelessly work to convince my friends, family, and co-workers that Rand is the answer? Did I spend countless hours campaigning for Rand in my area? NO.... but I did all this in 2007-2012. I did that THEN because I was passionate about what we were fighting for. I don't worship at the alter of Ron Paul, but his message was VERY different than Rand's, and his approach (dare I say disdain?) for politics is VERY different than Rand's. No matter how hard I try, I just can not get fired up for Rand Paul... largely because of his actions, which have been pointed out ad nauseum. Now I know, I know... this is the "Ra-Ra-Rand Can Do No Wrong Echo Chamber" and "Thou Shalt Not Criticize" but whatever. Truth is truth.

I hope Rand changes his methods and can turn this thing around, but this 'moneybomb' (firecracker?) is a DIRECT result of the grassroots support he has managed to squander.

Donations are ticking up. We are people being so pessimistic. I don't expect a million dollar haul but I think we will break 100 grand and even that should be celebrated at this point. After the next debate, I expect donations to go up even more.

I never had a problem with Nov. 5th moneybombs for Ron. As minarchist as Ron is, he isn't that far apart from V.

Rand though? He really is more like Guy Fawkes. The problem isn't statism per se, just what brand of statism is currently in control.

So I guess it works for both of them, just not for the same reasons.

Even if Rand approached it now the same way Ron did, it wouldn't work as well as it did then. Ron was the sole voice in talking about liberty and government overreach. Now everyone is saying the same thing in different ways so his message is diluted.

No matter what Rand does and what issues he champions, the "purists" will always find something complain about. And the fail safe line is always going to be, "he endorsed Romney".

Not for me, it's not. On a fresh browser session if I type in randpaul.com I get the 100 days screen first. If I close the tab and reopen it the ticker page comes up first. I browse privately so there must be a cookie being passed that controls which page shows up first that is being deleted by my browser.
