Obama is running on a platform about 95% similar to John Kerry's. It would be John Kerry's 2008 platform.

Speaking of Obama. I had not watched any Democrat debates until the MTV forum. When I watched it I couldn't believe how weak Obama and his platform came across. I don't understand why he is so popular.

Because everyone wants a change from the current admistration. He came up with a good slogan and that about it. We all know we need change. How ever what is his exact plan to bring about the change??? Anyone know??

At least RP is specific about what his plans are.

ive been saying that all along, he is platform is anything but change.

He is popular because:

1. He is young
2. He is charming
3. He is black and that makes him seem as non mainstream and helps him with the change mantra.

He's also a great speaker, very charismatic, positive, and hopeful. A lot of people don't look beyond that.
