Not going to let our mayor run unopposed.

Meet Wake Forest Mayoral Candidate David Bissette @ the Ale House Wednesday

Wake Forest Mayoral candidate David Bissette would like to meet you and hear what you have to say on Wednesday nights in September and October at the Wake Forest Ale House patio.

The patio is fully enclosed and heated for those chilly fall nights. Approved dates for September are the 9th, 16th, and 30th. October dates will be announced later in the month.

Come hang out, enjoys some nachos, hoist a $2.50 pint (dutch), and step up on your own political soapbox. Lively discourse is guaranteed.

Good luck!

Can you run as a republican? If you get with one of the major parties, that will drastically change the playing field.

Mayorial races typically are nonpartisan.
That is correct. I've talked to several people who have told me, in the past, any given party's endorsement did not radically affect the results of a mayoral election. It's about positions and platforms.

Fill any and all road potholes. Or better yet... fill all the potholes right now and put a sign saying "Pothole fixed by the biss... now running for mayor!" next to each pothole filled. Guaranteed victory! I saw that advice on TV somewhere... I think George Bush Jr. said it as advice to a mayor... maybe mayor Rudi Giuliani?

You need a tie that doesn't look like the set of Laugh-In. Other than that, you make a great candidate.
LOL (really). The tie is one I custom designed myself and had made. I have a red on that looks just like it. It's about image and marketing. The ties that I wear in general are not very subdued. For instance, in the picture below, you don't see the rattle snake at the end of the tie with the inscription "Don't Tread on Me." (Actually, you can just start to see his rattle over top of the Union jack.)
