Not allowed to vote in SC

It's not expected to snow for another few hours, so I'd make the trip.
Also, they should have provided you a 'provisional ballot' instead of just telling you that you could not vote.
Were you wearing any RP stuff when you were rejected or did you look uncommitted?

Please contact your local headquarters. That's not right, and maybe they could help or advise you. I have cell numbers for HQ people in Columbia and Greenville, if you don't have them.

Get back there and vote man! This happened to me in 2000 after I had moved and I had to drive to a different precinct and vote affidavite, but I voted! People have died for this privilidge, the least you can do is drive 20 miles!

Look, I'm going to walk through snow, sleet, or high (freezing) water to vote. If you don't vote, don't complain if we do badly. The founders faced much worse than snow and sleet. If you feel uncomfortable driving in this weather, call the campaign, I think they've got drivers.

This is crunch time.

Also, as for being an "expired" voter, that's ridiculous. I've worked the polls several times, and I've never heard of such nonsense.

Anyway, regardless of whether you vote today or not, I wish you good luck in resolving that bit of idiodicy.

Im sure Ron appreciates the 1,000 bucks you donated to the campaign, but the only thing thats gonna matter in the end are VOTES! Please reconsider going downtown to be put back in the system...i know its a pain in the ass but Paul needs all the votes he can get!

Liz :)

make the drive. They are breaking the law. Don't let the bastards win. This is what they are trying to make happen. Make the drive. Stuff it in their faces!!

Wow. You're willing to donate $1000 of your hard-earned money but unwilling to spend a little additional time and effort to make sure your vote is counted? The founding fathers are spinning in their graves.

A Ron Paul supporter telling other Ron Paul supporters that he isn't going to vote in a primary because he'd have to make a small drive? :what:

Get out there man! :D

You're probably right. I was too pissed off to even find out where 'down town' was at the polling place. I don't have any idea where to go and when I got home I tore the registration card in half and threw it in the trash (I do still have the two pieces). If someone knows where I would need to go or call (Columbia) please post. Thanks.

So you aren't going to make a 20 minute drive to vote? Wtf? It isn't going to be till later in the afternoon until the bad weather comes. If Ron Paul misses any position (3rd, 4th etc) by 1 vote, I am seriously going to be pissed.

Please reconsider. They don't want you to vote. You are going to have to re register and what better day then today.

Waiting only will take away your liberty that people have fought and died to make sure you have had that right.

You will sleep much better tonight knowing you went that one step further to not let those lives to be lost in vain.

I do hope you reconsider and make your second sacrifice over the 1k you donated.

Please call 803-931-8096 (RP HQ Columbia) and explain what happened. Someone there should be able to advise you what to do.

From your posts, I think you need to go to the Richland County Administration Building which is on Harden Street, going away from five points, towards Rochland Memorial Hospital. The County Election Office is on the lowest part of the building, on the five-points side. It's got its own seperate entrence and everything.
