I live in New Jersey and I've begun to realize the majority of my elders that are republicans seem to only know what they see on TV and from friends. The majority of them are Guliani fans because of one interesing fact that the news media outlets here in the North East report on Giuliani alot because of his NY fame.

My point is older/elder republican voters in the NorthEast, specifically around my home in NJ, might change there affiliation with Giuliani if a form of advertisement was offered, other than the internet. Unfortunately not every person has the will power to teach themselves a computer at the age of 50+.

Any Suggestions at reaching the older/elder voters?

I agree.. as a NY'er, I have not really seen anything other than occasional Ron Paul signs, and my own Grandmother calls me a "crazy Ron paul cook who put signs all over". She buys into Romney/MSM (sigh). There has to be a way to educate the elderly !! I dont have any ideas though.

haha thats funny because my own grandmother made me question this aswell
I think elders will be key to winning this for paul soon or later
if only they knew him, paul is there age... they would get along great!

Of course there is. I'm sure you grandma would enjoy a nice meal with you. Take her out to a nice brunch or something. That is a good way that you can let her explain what she thinks, then lay it on thick and heavy about ron paul. If nothing else you got to go out to eat with your grandma.

every Thursday me and my father lay it on her and my grandfather, as she makes enough food to feed an army, and plus ill be with her when we vote so BAM!

we need ways to reach to all of her friends with no grandchildren that have nothing better to do but watch Mitt and Giuliani on ABC!

Newspaper ads. I think this is the best way to make the pre-internet generations awar when compare of Dr. Paul and his positions. And, they are relatively inexensive when compared to television ads.

Absolutely. Newspapers are a very effective way to reach senior citizens, especially very local newspapers that have coupons and local advertisements.

Though, I think the elderly naturally support candidates they remember, such as McCain and Clinton, and also candidates somehow connected to their geographic area, like with Guiliani in Metropolitan New York (an area that is not very politcally astute I must say, and I can say that freely because I live here).

Working people and young Republicans are much more likely to help Dr. Paul at the polls, anyway. Don't forget...the 'greatest' generation basically created and continue to support the status quo of American military intervention and interference overseas post-World War II. I really think Dr. Paul is a rarity among his age group.

Looks like paul is starting to pick up some traction in jersey. we must have some good meetupgroups there.

When I ran third party in 2006, late in the campaign someone suggested (too late for me to implement) that I try to schedule to systematically go to all the senior centers and extended care hospitals to make a presentation. There one has 1) a captive or otherwise bored audience (after all, what other special event gets scheduled at their location?), 2) an actual key demographic of likely voters that is hard to reach en masse and 3) a 'high bonding' exposure of one's message to the audience, via an in person appearance.

If volutnteers coordinated to schedule multimedia 'sales presentations' of Ron Paul (maybe call it 'How Dr. Paul Will Strengthen Your Retirement') to seniors on this basis, it could get the message out very efficiently to regular voters.

Most older Republicans everywhere have a negative view of Paul.

It's nice to see the Ron Paul signs occasionally on RT 80, and I saw one on the GSP on someone's car once.

I never see any in Manhattan. :/
