to be honest, since this is winner takes all, I'm more concerned about Gunny on this one.

Doesn't Ron get at least some delegates if he gets more than something like 10%.

But yeah, that's a more important race. I'm not in his district, unfortunately...

State Senate District 18:

Barefoot 4,005 48.69%
Schriver 3,078 37.42%
Bradley 1,143 13.89%

I was disappointed to see gingrich and santorum still on the ballot. Anti-romney vote had too many options. Oh well, I would be angry but I just have to remind myself that NC is part of the south and this is just how Ron polls down here.

The only reason they're keeping the two dead campaigns on the ballots is for perception. Since Ron Paul isn't getting any air time, most people just perceive his name as another non-active candidate. If it was Paul going head to head with Romney people would start to wonder.

no biggee. NC is winner take all, I wasn't even focusing on this one where RON is concerned.

These WTA primary states are really gonna sting a lot. In a way, i dont even see how its right at all. Like lets say if every state was like that, boom, anyone the media fires up there as its 'presumptive nominee' is a 100% shoe in since they will just eat up all the delegates each time. This is pretty much the establishments safety net the rest of the way. Cali and NJ are also going to hurt a lot too.

Uggh not looking good

I concur. I am not happy about this either. I just was informed that Gunny was gunning for the Senate seat. Maybe I was out to lunch or something, but was this a big issue here? I didn't see much about it. We could have done a shit ton more for Gunny.

CA is not pure WTA. There are some statewide delegates that are WTA and then there are congressional districts WTA.

I wish these races were a week later when people could put Ron's wins together with blocking Romney. However, the south is not Ron's best area.

But it's Mitt Romney's? RIGHT...

Perhaps one single gun ad, or budget ad, or Romney attack ad in NC would have made the Christian conservatives aware that RP was still in it.
Or, even RP's "LIFE" ad they had in Iowa...

Looks like the voting machines are broken in Rockingham Country, the extra 0 isn't being added to Romney's vote total. Knowing nothing about NC, can someone explain why the results (6.7% reporting) would be so different from neighboring counties?

No, but Romney is being painted as presumed nominee and anti Obama by media. Ron has NO media except a tad in the last two days advertising that the wins he had don't mean he can win (per msm).

edit, looking at wider results I see there was a ban of gay marriage amendment on the ballot. So the Santa voters turned out.

Doesn't Mittrns need 70% to have a respectable finish as the presumptive nominee?

AH. Drudge says theyre voting on banning gay marriage in NC---record turnout. Prolly not all that freedom-friendly, either.

This certainly would have helped in WV, but there was nothing at all.
