North Carolina Politics and Historical Events

Politicians love to have their picture taken during historical events and they get really upset when you don’t invite them, especially when mainstream media cameras are there! Even if they don’t show up, they like to say they were asked to attend. This is the first time in U.S. political history that a blimp had ever been used. I am sure that the Guinness Book of World Records has been contacted to insure this event meets all their documentation requirements. These North Carolina politicians are going to be really pissed-off if their not invited!!!

I would suggest local public figures be invited to the launch for political purposes. A photograph should be taken of them in front of the Ron Paul Blimp with Trevor Lyman, Elijah Lynn, the blimp Captain, and a few other key members on this project. The lettering on the blimp should be clearly visible in the photograph. Otherwise their going to get really upset down the road. The blimp media team may already be aware of this... I sure hope so. If not, there will be hell to pay.

We don’t want to isolate ourselves going forward by being politically inconsiderate. A simple email or phone contact inviting them to this historic photo opportunity would be very, very wise. Once their contacted, a note detailing when the contact was made would be placed in a folder for future reference. This will serve as proof that they had been contacted for this first ever historic event. Since this is a political campaign, all bases need to be covered.

If I was Mayor Steve Atkinson and woke up tomorrow morning knowing I missed the North Carolina "First in Flight" launch of the first ever presidential campaign blimp in U.S. history, heads are going to ROLL!

Here is the short list of key local political figures I came up with. If you can think of anyone to add or suggestions, please post on this thread. We need to win North Carolina!

An interesting historic fact that may tie in well with our Boston Harbor Tea Party 07.

The Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. Ron Paul became a Republican Congressman in 1976, two hundred years later! Interesting little factoid.

I really am starting to think you are related to Trevor.

This needs to happen TODAY in order to prevent political "blowback" concerning the Ron Paul Blimp launch.

Someone needs to invite Rep. Walter Jones. He's local and is friends with Ron Paul. (I think).

The Ron Paul Blimp Team NEEDS to get on the PHONE NOW!

We need these politicians to ATTEND!

If their not invited.... there will be hell to pay!

mark my words! Don't blame me if it doesn't happen.

Here's another GREAT IDEA!

North Carolina first in flight as their car license plates show!

This is the "FIRST IN FLIGHT" of a political campaign blimp ever!

Another "FIRST IN FLIGHT" historical moment in our U.S. history.

Make sure the Guinness Book of World Records mentions this fact.

North Carolina is the first in everything!

These are such great ideas.

Oh my God... the Mayor is going to be there for this historical launch!

First time is U.S. history a blimp has been used for a political campaign.

Thank YOU Annyab... You made it happen!

God bless you Annyab.

You really made it happen Annyab! That is so great!

I've got a great idea and if you could pass it along to the Mayor or your husband, I would like to see a red ribbon holding down the blimp and have the Mayor cut it to send off the blimp.

That would be such a great photo op and I'm sure the Mayor would agree. I myself don't have direct contact with the Blimp team but thought you might.

I would be so cool to see the Mayor cut the ribbon sending off the blimp!

Thank You again for making this happen Annyab!

Sincerely,

MacDee

Is the Mayor a Libertarian or Ron Paul Republican?

If not, why do we want him involved in the blimp project?

Even though the topic title is a bit misleading (I thought there was a controversy already going on), good topic and good idea.

Menthol, so you are saying you don't want to win over as many people as possible, Republican or not?

Seems like getting ANY politician to be on your side would be awesome, just like getting a democrat on your side.
