Nominate Ron Paul for CATO's 2008 Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty!!!!!

Is Ron's voting record an accomplishment? It said to summarize the accomplishments and contributions of your nominee.

CATO's a Libertarian think-tank, right? Paul ran on their ticket in 1988, is that an accomplishment?

They are non-partisan, and cannot endorse a candidate.

CATO is Cosmolibertarian, whereas Ron is Paleolibertarian. The two don't get along very well.

Regardless, it still might happen. For accomplishments I put that he has rallied the Liberty Movement better than anyone has in a century.

Ron Paul does really deserve at least a shot at this reward. Him and Milton Friedman = win.

I nominated him. The average person has no idea who Cato is or what this organizatin is all about. But the publicity and the title "Dr. Ron Paul wins prize for advancing Liberty" says it all.

done as well

how can they ignore the advancement for liberty that this campaign alone has done? win or lose, it's the largest advancement for liberty in the past 20 years.

Done.

As the champion of the U.S. Constitution, Congressman Paul's run for the 2008 POTUS has done more to advance the liberty cause than any other person this year. Thousands upon thousands are flocking to his principled message, and may be the biggest boon to the ranks of liberty lovers that we've seen in the past 40 years.

The Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty, named in honor of perhaps the greatest champion of liberty in the 20th century, is presented every other year to an individual who has made a significant contribution to advance human freedom.

Previous winners of the prize are the late British economist Peter Bauer in 2002, the Peruvian economist Hernando de Soto in 2004, the former prime minister of Estonia Mart Laar in 2006, and Yon Goicoechea, leader of the pro-democracy student movement in Venezuela, in 2008.

The prize, a cash award of $500,000, will be presented to the winner on May 13, 2010, at the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty's Biennial Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington D.C.

The prize will go to an individual who has made a significant contribution to advancing human freedom. Nominees may be from any and all walks of life. Scholars, activists, and political leaders have been among the hundreds of nominations submitted for the first three prizes. The International Selection Committee vote by ballot for the winner.
Nominations for the 2010 Friedman Prize are now being accepted.

I posted a blog on Campaign for Liberty. Hopefully, an administrator or someone will catch wind of it and start promoting the Milton Friedman award on their main page.

I would like to build a page promoting Ron Paul for "The Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty." However, I'm not very "web savvy" and have little or no knowledge about web design, graphic design, or video creation and editing for YouTube. But there are obviously a lot of Ron Paul supporters out there who are.

Please emailme if you have any technical knowledge and experience in web design, graphic design, or video creating/editing.

This award from the most prestigious libertarian policy think tank in America, probably even the world. The prize is also $500,000. Ron Paul could use that money toward Campaign for Liberty or something else. Also, he would get media attention for receiving the award and make media appearances on national TV discussing why he got the award.

Ron Paul might not have received "Person of the Year" by TIME Magazine. But he has a really good shot at getting "The Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty" from the CATO Institute.

Thank you for your nomination of Dr. Ron Paul for the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty.

The 2010 winner will be announced on the Cato Institute website next spring, shortly before the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty's Biennial Dinner, May 13, 2010, at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.

Thank you for your nomination of Dr. Ronald Paul for the Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty.

Ron Paul brought the concepts of individual freedom and liberty into the limelight by consistently citing them during the 2008 Presidential campaign. His voice of reason excited a national and worldwide educational movement dedicated to advancing liberty. He authored two best-selling books since that time (the Revolution and End The Fed) and many others during his lifetime. He founded the Campaign for Liberty, a grassroots organization looking to mobilize and educate individuals on the concepts of liberty. His common main stream media appearance and house floor speeches are used to advocate responsibility, freedom, and liberty as well.

I nominate Ben Shalom Bernanke as the greatest champion of liberty for his significant contribution to advance human freedom.
