Nominate Ron Paul for CATO's 2008 Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty!!!!!

CATO are sell outs and it's incredibly ironic for them of all groups to give out an award for "advancing liberty," but if they are why not nominee Ron? He deserves it more than anyone else.

How has Cato sold out?

I remember in height of warmongering, they placed large banner ads on NRO denouncing the war and the Patriot Act.

I think this is a good idea.

Just because one guy there doesn't like Ron Paul doesn't mean they've sold out.

Show me a policy decision they've made that runs counter to libertarianism.

CATO will never ever nominate Ron Paul.
There is too much rivalry with the Mises Institute.

But it's worth a try. :)

Did it right now.

"As a German Hayekian, I don't know any other active politician in all our western countries who stands for liberty so consistently as Dr. Paul does.
Watching our depreciating currencies, a denationalisation of money is inevitable. Regarding our classical-liberal traditions, the writ of habeas corpus is essential for due process and the rule of law. Considering the pretence of knowledge, there can be just wars, but no preemptive wars."

Obviously, you didn't spend a lot of time reading what I posted. It lays out the differences between true Libertarians and "beltway Libertarians" (CATO).
