The page keeps timing out, so I can't read the whole article, but based on the excerpt posted here, it's sounds pretty accurate.

The ones who are really stabbing us in the back are the doofus kids who think we can win the Republican nomination by screaming at people, peppering our speech with leftist slogans, and refusing to engage with actual Republican voters.

If you want to win, ditch the Che Guevara t-shirt, put on a tie, and go meet the members of your local Republican Party.

I think whoever wrote the article is correct. Sometimes I think that these "poison" fans as he calls them are actually supporters of other candidates trying to bring down Ron Paul by acting insane. But I'm pretty sure I'm wrong. These people actually are Ron Paul supporters, but they're hurting him big time. Instead of acting well-reasoned, they're acting like they've escaped the asylum, and they keep bringing in their own agendas (9/11 was an inside job, CFR, and other conspiracy theories).

About the CFR thing, regardless of whether it's true or not, we don't need to be mentioning it. We can discuss it after Ron Paul wins. But if we talk about that now, we sound crazy and paranoid and no one wants to listen to a raving nut screaming on the side of the street. Just keep the lid on those types of things.

Now that this point has been cleared up, we should be able to discuss the ideologies of the CFR versus the ideologies we have. We know from the CFR web site, they would like to see a more global form of government. Ron Paul said in the video, there is a trend toward international government.

It is not a conspiracy or some kind of secret even though little is said about it.

How many other candidates are judged by their supporters? Does the press do hit pieces on McCain or Thompson supporters? I could show you a couple of real wackos that think those candidates are the answer to all our ills. The guy who gave the caucus speech for Thompson at our caucus couldn't even spit out the chew before he began to speak. Does the press try to spin Thompson supporters into drooling hillbillies?

Ron Paul had our local sheriff, our police chief, a small business owner, and an airman in line trying to decide which one could deliver the best message. Does the press mention that Ron Paul has many responsible, socially acceptable supporters?

You can drive out the zealous kids if you want, but the point of a campaign is to pick up more supporters--not try to alienate the ones you have.

It is way too late to work within the system.
The kids are learning how fixed it is, so they

The kids didn't kill the campaign, the candidates newsletters did.

I know my limitations. I know that I cannot be around the party machinery, and I'm not going to risk losing my temper there, so I stay away. KNOW your strengths and your limitations, and play to them.

What works on a college campus does not work in real life, and that include the Ron Paul campaign. Learn the difference.

There is a third type of libertarian. I think I may be one: An adult who tries to be thoughtful and cares about issues of personal and economic liberty a great deal, who has social skills, and is able to be practical and diplomatic when it comes to seeing our ideas become reality.

I think it is very counter productive to artificially divide libertarians into a camp that isn't willing to get involved and another camp filled with childish lunatics. A false dichotomy like this may force people to decide which camp they belong to, and neither of them are good.

There is absolutely no reason why you cannot be an intelligent, socially mature, libertarian that recognizes the importance of politics to enact our ideals. Libertarianism is against coercive power, but it is not against power in some general sense. A person can certainly be a libertarian and actively seek to acquire the power to prevent liberty from being undermined.

I know, I've seen the video. But most people don't even know what it's about, and we just keep rattling off acronyms. Honestly, when we say "don't vote for Obama, he's a part of CFR", we look crazy. What's CFR, they might ask. "A group that has globalist views and wants to remove our souvereignty. He's a part of it, so he must be bad." This isn't going to convince anyone other than people who like conspiracies, and I'm pretty sure we've got most of them already. Lets stick to the issues, not who's a member of what group, be it Skulls and Bones or CFR.

Looks like Dr. Paul's poison fans have killed his campaign. Now the long struggle for 2012 begins. I didn't expect Ron Paul to catch on as well as he has even though I was a backer from the day his campaign started.
