No Paul = No Vote in November

Certainly, I will not sit out the 2012 election.....Probably vote for the Libertarian Ticket....but certainly not Romney or Santorium who has publicly stated that he does not Like Liberty Candidates.

Yep, they sealed their own fates with us with those remarks. Idiots.

I hope people can at least find a 3rd Party to support as part of their protest against the establishment. I've been voting 3rd party since 2000.

I'm in the Libertarian Party but since Tennessee doesn't make you register by party I was still able to vote for RP at the primary last Tuesday. If RP is not on the GOP ticket in November, then I will vote for the Libertarian Party candidate (hopefully Gary Johnson).

Writing in Ron Paul, or simply voting for the best candidate that represents my views (ABSOLUTELY not Romney, Santorum or Gingerich) works for me. Four more years of Obama might be what the nation needs to consider a DIFFERENT COURSE.

In the meantime, the GOP, as it is, needs to collapse and be rebuilt on a better foundation which has a higher regard for the US Constitution, free market principles, and individual civil rights. That Ron Paul, the ONLY SANE ONE, was blacked-out while the media spewed out every ridiculous spout-off and eyebrow-raise of the likes of Romney, Santorum and Gingerich says it all.

In my opinion

I don't think this is something the Official Campaign should do, however I do think this is a point that should be made on a personal level to GOP voters who we know that just want to defeat Obama.
Keep in mind

The GOP simply needs the cross over vote to win (actually either party does but the GOP needs it somewhat more).
In the most recent polls among Indies only two POTUS candidates score positively among Independent voters, Obama and Paul.

This is a message we should all be spreading among GOP voters we know who's main focus is electing a candidate who can beat Obama, because whether it's broadly admitted and understood or not for the GOP this election to beat Obama there really is No One But Paul
Adding to what I said above, here's even more to personally share with GOP voters you know
Voting Analysis article: How Bad Is The Republican’s Latino Problem?
Obama leads all Republican challengers among Latino voters by staggering margins, including a 70-14% lead over Mitt Romney.
Due to the current trend of increased electoral participation among Latino voters the demographic has been steadily adding +1% to it's market share of the overall national vote combine that with the 27% figure (for Republicans nationally) and the net result is that the GOPs need for a candidate who can sway Independent voters is even more pressing (if they are to complete in a meaningful way with President Obama in the fall).

Again I suggest bringing this up specifically with voters who's main goal is to oust Obama, because their best bet truly is Ron Paul.
For those who care about another issue more than winning the white house don't touch this conversation you'll only antagonize them and that's not tactically beneficial.
(anyone know any Super Delegates who care more about beating Obama than anything else?  )

For states that have yet to vote start having these conversations now, figure out who the people are that care about unseating Obama and then talk to them about the numbers. They are (by exit polling and demographic analysis) the single largest bloc voting in the GOP primaries, lets go out and gather them

No need to collapse. We have a lot of good people involved at the local, state and national level, and we are already increasing our numbers on the state and county level with the conventions that have taken place this year. Ron Paul is just one of thousands of people who have been working their butts off for many years at this. So regardless of the outcome of this nomination process, we have and will continue to grow. We are in good position to have libertarian Republicans pick up a nice amount of House and Senate seats this year. So all is well.

It's good to have so many liberty candidates moving into position :)
Also good to buckle down and push this Paul wave as far as we can this year, I want to give the new ones some coat tails to ride on ;)

No Ron Paul = no vote out of me. I've voted in every primary and general election since I was 18 (30 now) but I will not give legitimacy to this bullshit process any more after this year. After this election cycle and seeing how Ron Paul was cheated out of this election, I'm done with the whole system.

Writing in Paul. Period

Gary Johnson is a fraud, too, like Obama and Romney.

Again, writing-in is a waste, if you really want to make a statement & teach GOP a lesson then vote Obama or if you can't do that then vote Libertarian or Constitution Party, that way we make a statement that the numbers of libertarians & Constitutionalists are growing & that we're an important voting-block
I could care less about Johnson or whoever but it's the message we send to the GOP, by voting AGAINST THEM, is what matters

Remember, vast majority of voters nearly always vote one way, either nearly always Repub or always Dem, & there are like 10-20% in the middle that swing elections one way or another, NOW OUR NUMBERS ARE LARGE ENOUGH TO BE THIS DECISIVE BLOCK THAT CAN'T BE IGNORED :D

In the meanwhile, GOP will continue to be rebuilt & that process is already going on, which'd started by Ron's run in 2007 & it will continue, we just need to be more active participants in taking the GOP bottom up from state-legislarures to Congress & Senate & so on

+1

Yes, Ron is the ONLY candidate that can bring enough Independents & Democrats to beat Obama so if GOP voters want to oust Obama then Paul has to be the nominee

And if the establishment is hurt because we're telling them the truth, so what. I for one feel I've been overly gentle with my less than intellectually astute GOP friends, absorbed their constant abuse about Ron Paul or about his supporters. A constant barrage of negativity and name calling which borders on elementary school level maturity, and I've remained calm.

But I'll be damned if I let them think it's all ok and we'll move along to get along. NOBP and if you don't like it then tough shit.

And I did the whole vote 3rd party ticket thing, LP both of the last elections and what do I have now? I voted for Bob Barr, a complete tool who supports Gingrich. Never voting the "party line" again, no matter who the party is. You are either worth voting for or you are not, period.

A good question to ask is will there be any statistics on write-ins. I thought in most states they toss the results away without even bothering to add them up.

Voting for Paul is what I want to do, but we wont get any type of realization from the GOP of what we did since they'll toss Paul votes in the same bucket as Santaclause and Elvis.

Voting for Obama is tempting as it would "show" the GOP we've had enough of their BS, but isn't that like getting tattoo on your 18th birthday that you might later regret? You cannot undo a Obama vote. Doesn't that violate the same principals that made you like Dr. Paul in the first place? If there is no difference between Dumbo and Romney why would you vote for either?

I don't consider myself a libertarian. I consider myself a cross between a conservative and a liberitarian (if you can do that!!) I have no idea who Gary Johnson is or what he stands for or frankly against, but my gut tells me that the libertarian movment within the GOP is what is happening and what has atracted many Paul supporters. To me if you want to send a message it would be one that says "we're" growing and you must recognize us. Maybe a libertarian vote does that?

What I don't want to see is all the work and the money everyone has contributed be marginalized into nothing. Maybe a large percent increase in liberitarian votes and decrease in GOP votes shows the GOP where the voters are moving and thus where they need to adapt. Similarliy to the Tea Party vote, even though it is now tainted. Some how some way I want my vote to show something even if its a loosing stratagey. (assuming Paul isn't the nomination) I'm not really sure how to do that?

As of right now:

My heart tells me to write in Paul because that is who I truley support
My head says we need our numbers to show to get recognition and validation even if its a loosing stratagey. A liberitarian vote might actually be the best way to show this?

Because if GOP wins without nominating Paul then they'll ignore the liberty-movement as inconsequential while if us voting for Obama causes him to win comprehensively like 60-40 or something like that then that would enhance traction of the liberty-movement within the GOP as a voting-block that can't be ignored, even Democrats will've to take notice

Remember that most voters nearly always vote one way or another, either always Repub or always Dem, & it's the "swing-voters" in the middle that decide elections, that's why the status quo continues because neither party wants to alienate this middle decisive block of voters & our numbers are now large enough to be this decisive block that can swing elections

I humbly disagree. First unless something changes pretty dramatically between now and the election it seems like dubmo will get his 4 more years of "change". Second, if he were to win 60/40 wouldn't that be telling the GOP they need to become more moderate and thus less liberty minded to pick up some of those who voted for dumbo?

If you want your voice heard you need to vote outside of the 2 party box we've all been placed in. Then and only then when there is a significant voter pool to be had will anyone be interested in changing the status quo both on the Democrat and Republican side.

In my mind unless you live in one of the swing states like Ohio or Florida which seem to pick the winners latley voting in the traditional red or blue states is nearly pointless, EXCEPT to make a point and show the politicians the way we're heading.

I want to agree with everything in the article but this:
...emphasize your plans to stay at home on election day if a Ron or Rand Paul is not on the ticket.
No Paul = No Vote in November

Staying home is not an option for two reasons. 1) You forfeit your vote for congressional and local candidates that we support. 2) (Assuming RP does not win the nomination) By forfeiting your right to write in Ron Paul, you join the majority of Americans that allow minority to decide the elected official.

The revolution dies when we decide to stay home on our couches and let other decide.

My votes: Paul in the Primary and Johnson in the General - assuming Paul doesn't get the nomination, which unfortunately is the likely scenario now.

I would be really silly NOT to vote.

As others have said, there is the congress (All the House and 33% of the Senate) to vote for so make sure you vote out the RINO's and vote in more libertarian people.

Don't forget, the Congress makes the law, the president signs or rejects it. Yes, I know about executive action.

I will vote, and unlike last time, holding my nose voting McCain, I WILL NOT tactical vote but vote my conscience and that will be Ron Paul, even if the write-in is ignored.

Florida write in registration ends before the convention, so I'm not sure what would happen if Ron Paul's name was on the ballot twice.

I have been one of the loudest NOBP poeple around here but I have said it numerous times that we need a repository for our votes so that "they" will know EXACTLY what we've done and why. I am not concerned about ABO or towing the party line. ANY party line. I am more concerned about this corrupt system and all of it's operatives trying to waste my vote and marginalize me. I want nothing more than to shove it right up their bung hole the hard way. The painful way. The way they will NEVER forget.

That won't happen if they take my vote and throw it in the trash can so nobody ever knows what I and my friends/compatriots did to them. Of course afterward they will just put some twisted sort of spin on what happened but the general population will never know what really happened unless we can make a big splash out of it. If we're going through with this we need to make it count. I mean, if we're gonig to cost the GOP this election I want them and everyone else to know who it was and why we did it, even if they hate us with a seething hatred.

Conversely, I would much rather convince them that their best chance to win back the White House is by putting their support behind the candidate who has THE best chance to not only win it back, but to put our country back on the correct path toward limited Constitutional government, sound money and a sane foreign policy. My guess is that they won't do it which brings me back to plan B. ........Ruin the suckers

I certainly don't mind people voting for LP or CP but if GOP by any miracle wins without nominating Paul then that's really going to a lot of traction for liberty-movement, there are no two ways about that so it's upto people to decide whether to vote for Obama to ENSURE a GOP loss so that they know that ignoring liberty-movement isn't going to work

NO, it won't make think they need to become moderate, it'll make them welcome the liberty-candidates, who'll have more wider appeal & a lot of liberty-people are already flooding the party
