Thank you for your generous donation!
Amount: $25.00
I just donated $25.00 to Ron Paul to help Restore America Now! You can donate too at www.ronpaul2012.com.

Honestly, I'm sure many of you know how I feel, but without a regular job for the last year, it gets me down a little that I can't give more cash to support the cause.

I thought we wouldn't even make it to $1,000,000 earlier in the day, but now it looks like we might just surpass it. Great news!

Just put in $100.

Posted the pic to my FB before I could grab the transaction details. :)

Woops. It was emailed.

Drudge it at $1M?

...i can see it now

"$1M Valentine for Dr. Paul..."
"Ron Paul raises $1M on V-Day, supporters promise Write-in.."
"Ron Paul, be our valentine, or else! Raises $1M"

Thanks for the response. I thought there may be an option to choose how you want your name to be displayed, but may it is to choose only to display it or not to display it.

If they do have to return those donations it is unfortunate, but I doubt people are doing it knowing that it will be returned and the campaign charged, more likely that they just think it will look cool or funny.

No problem. Hopefully that is the case. I can't say I know the laws/rules/etc regarding campaign contributions, I just know the campaign will be charged the fee, so hopefully they get to keep the money. 50 cents here and 50 cents there adds up. Whatever the charge is now.

+ reps to all the generous, some extraordinarily generous, donations above! If I missed you in this thread, PM me your post # and I will make sure to rep

I don't know if this is true, but this comment claims that in 2008, Obama donors got around the $2,500 per person limit by using pre-paid credit cards, presumably under a fake name. I wonder if the same thing is happening with the other 3 Repub candidates now,

In 2008 the Obama campaign accepted multiple donations of under $200 from prepaid credit cards with no verification as to who the donor was...
