This kind of shit pisses me off than the mass media:

http://www.nomoredrugwar.org/

The site is so pathetic they don't even mention the bill's name in the letter they're having everyone send Congress (HR 2306). What a joke!

OK, so maybe not a major issue with regards to Ron's campaign, but it does demonstrate this red state blue state BULLSHIT that keeps even small grass roots organizations bitterly divided.

No More Drug War

I noticed that as well. I am a member of the DPA, so I wrote to them yesterday and I see where it has been changed in the main story not by much but at least his name is mentioned now.

I think a major Democrat is a huge supporter of that organization and that is why this happened but I told them if they were truly against the Drug War then they would get behind candidates who are against it as well regardless of political affiliation otherwise their organization is a sham.

They must have changed it back because his name is not listed there now.

I wrote them a message too...

Tons of voting citizens so tired of this Prohibition on marijuana have been ringing Ron Paul's bell! This prohibition has cost tax payers hundreds of billions and have set up our southern border as a war border. We learned from the alchohol prohibition that it doesnt work. Other countries that have quit it are all reporting positive results from ending it!
And why is the republican party, (Smith-R), saying that all that money being wasted should not be stopped but my retirement should be? Oil subsidies should be continued but re-newable fuel subsidies already cut off mid-cycle? It is very hard for an Idependent to seperate the Libertarian from the Republican and that is going to be a big problem come election.
(I will be voting for Ron Paul in primaries but just gave my honest heart felt opinion )

Although the some orginizations have a strong (D) bias, the heavy hitters like MPP tend to be pretty objective and support both (D)'s and (R)'s who support reform.

I emailed them too.

No, it was changed in the main story. On their home page it mentioned that Frank(D) sponsored the legislation and now it says members of congress and then if you follow the link, both names are mentioned where only one was mentioned before. It wasn't like that the other day. The link to nomoredrugwar.com is still the same which is the same orgnaization, but a different avenue to the site.

They responded to my email and say that they couldnt mention all the cosponsors, etc., but I don't think he was a cosponsor, I think it was a bi-partisan bill.
