'No Kings' protests across the U.S. Saturday expected to draw millions
Locally, in St. Louis, there's at least 8 protests organized within 20 miles of the Arch. I honestly expected to hear about counter-protests in support of the Trump administration, but haven't seen any signs of that.

Millions of people in more than 2,000 cities and towns throughout the U.S. are expected to participate in "No Kings Day of Defiance" rallies on Saturday as part of a nationwide protest against the Trump administration.
Organizers behind the “No Kings” movement said the protests “come in response to President Trump’s escalating use of military force in American cities and a federal agenda that would strip health care from 16 million people while expanding ICE raids targeting immigrants and protestors,” according to a press release.
Protesters are responding to the large military parade taking place in Washington, D.C., on Saturday in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States Army. It’s estimated the parade will cost around $45 million, and potentially more, since the Army has to pay for any damage its vehicles do to the streets. Organizers say there's been increased interest in "No Kings" after anti-immigration protests began in Los Angeles last week.

As of reporting, the group expects more than 2,000 rallies to take place on Saturday, with events planned in all 50 states but not Washington, D.C. Trump told reporters on Tuesday that anyone protesting the Army’s parade “will be met with very big force.” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Thursday that he ordered the deployment of more than 5,000 Texas National Guard troops and more than 2,000 state police to prepare and monitor the "No Kings" protests on Saturday.
