NH: Any US Congress Seats Worth The Effort There? + Ayotte Question

In New Hampshire, are there any US Senate or House seats worth the effort? Do we have any potential Liberty candidates to run?

Also, is there any chance of unseating Ayotte in 2016? She may run for President to block NH for Rand (and that would be the only reason). We can't let her run for President and still end up keeping her Senate seat too.

No RPF members are from NH?

Correct :)

District 1 is a Republican leaning district. Maybe a pro-liberty person will run for the seat. District 2 is a Democratic leaning district. The incumbent will likely stick around less she decides to run for a higher office.

There is a chance that Ayotte will lose if Democrat John Lynch (the 4 term governor) runs against her. However, I don't want her in NH. Keep her in Washington where should cannot cause any damage. If she came back to NH she could likely become the governor.

I don't want Ayotte anywhere. She is being built up as the next neocon dream female candidate, sort of a GOP answer to Hillary Clinton.

I hope you meant "can't cause any harm." She can cause warm from anywhere. In any case, am I mistaken that either Jim Forsythe or Andy Sanborn are in District 1? 2014 is set to be a GOP wave year, so a Republican will probably win the 1st District. The 2nd District, well, that will be more of a fight.

@Sailing: Totally agree. The Establishment loves her too much.

not really concerned with federal politics and will likely be focusing on my own race in 2014

Good luck. Make sure to get any and all information you can to us a.s.a.p. This forum has a penchant for ignoring local races, especially those announced later in the cycle. Make sure to get the money while you can.

Thank you Keith :) I made this a thread instead of just PMing NH residents so that we can have an open discussion. I'm glad to get some info straight from ground zero :)

Ok Keith we just formed a plan already :) Donate ($5-10) to her fund and write emails encouraging her to run to KEEP HER SENATE SEAT. Reverse psychology. F*** it. Let's mindf*** 'em back for once.

We don't want to unseat Ayotte. Remember she's up in 2016 so if Rand runs for President and does well or win the nomination it wouldn't look good for us to be trying to unseat one of our own incumbents. There is a Dem incumbent (Shaheen) up in 2 years who we should work on finding a pro-liberty candidate.

Shaheen has quite a bit of money and is very well connected. Check out her Wikipedia page for a primer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeanne_Shaheen. The gist is that she will be incredibly tough to bring down. The House Seat, especially District 1, is where it's at.

This. We will yell LOUD AND EARLY for a Shemdoggy Dogg sub-forum!

Yeah maybe we could get some NH residents to do a bit of grassroots for her. Like I said, mindf*** 'em back.

I'd vote for John Lynch in a heartbeat over that awful broad.

Gawd, I didn't think NH's federal representation could have gotten any worse.

Boy, was I wrong.
